They start the episode at home where Kajal is playing a tune on the guitar when Dev comes there and enjoys her playing. They are both in a romantic mood, and he suddenly tells her to promise that she will never ever leave him ever in her life. She too promises. After that they become lighthearted again and she teaches him to play the guitar. They are anticipating going out for dinner the next evening.
Here in his room Karan looks as if very frustrated with his inability to walk as he is in a wheelchair. Nandini says "Don't fret and fume. Tomorrow I will take you out. Dev is giving a dinner for all when he is going to announce that he is gifting all his property in Kajal's name!"
Karan is shocked and decides that the time has come to do something drastic now. When Chachi comes to his room to give some prasad, he acts as if very irritated that he cannot move about. Chachi says "Don't worry. Your responsibilities Dev will take care of till you can move around." Then suddenly Karan tells her "You know Dev is not my brother and NT was not my real Mom". Chachi leaves the room shocked as Karan looks evil.
Chachi is then seen talking to NT's photo that "How did Karan come to know this secred that only you and I knew and we hid from everyone?", when Karan comes there and says: "I got this whole story of my real mother from her only – my real mother Yashodhara Devi. She was about to die when I had the luck to meet her at last".
They then show a flashback of Karan and his mother when she tells Karan: "Karan, you and Veer were my sons when I was married to Raja Sahib. But he suddenly threw me out after hearing some gossips abut me, and then married NT who then looked after you both. But though your father was a good man that NT was bad, and when she had a son Dev she made Raja Sahib give all his property only to Dev. But somehow I kept the original will of Raja Sahib where all the property is actually yours" So saying she gives Karan the will ...
... which he then shows Chachi. But Chachi then says "You have been misled. That Yashodhara was none other than my own personal blood sister ... but she was a very wicked woman with no morals and she ran away with another man leaving her husband and sons. That is when Raja Sahib married NT. That property will Yashodhara gave you is worthless ... because she spent all the family money. She has cheated you to take revenge on NT and Dev. Actually whatever property NT has given Dev is only her own personal earnings ... and even in that she has given some shares for you and Veer also as she loved all three of you equally!"
Hearing that the paper in his hand is fake, Karan decides he now has to act fast or Dev will give all his share of property to Kajal,.
Meanwhile Nandini comes there and tells Karan that Chachi is leaving for some ashram for one week that day itself quite immediately. Chachi also says she will not be available on phone at the ashram. Karan looks pleased that the house will be empty of her, and asks where is Kajal? Nandini says Kajal has also gone to the temple.
At the Shiv Mandir Kajal lights a diya for Dev and asks God to care for his life and happiness. But as she turns to leave a strong wind snuffs out the diya! Kajal is shocked by this bad omen! Freeze.
