Tendulkar Agrees too. 😛😆

But this was one of the top 3 spell in WC history for me. No 1 being Shane Bond in 2003 v AUS and no 3 being Starc. 👏

Joel Garner, Michael Holding and Andy Roberts did not need to run their mouths to intimidate their opponents. They were so good, fast and lethal that their mere presence and the packed up slip squadron terrified batsmen.

Pathetic world cup finale. A boring one sided affair with the team that no one supported or liked winning. Australian news themselves had published an article "Why No One Wants us to Win". I guess in cricket it never gets better, bullies always win.

In my head I'm going to pretend that the first semi-final was the finale. That was a phenomenal game of cricket. Full of utmost aggression and will to win tempered with most beautiful sportsmanship as well. How a good game should be.

Ruthless competitiveness, intimidation and unrelenting pressure are the hallmarks of their best teams, why should they abandon that has made them the best cricketing nation in history. They have bowlers to have such an attitude.

I enjoy the aggression on field, makes for an interesting game. What I do not like is when all the team members start chirping in to intimidate an oppositions batsman. That's just poor sportsmanship all around. The bowler and batsman engaging is fair game. Given how batting friendly the game is, the bowlers need something to get them going. If its aggression and a bit of sledging, i'm game.

You can have that without running your mouth. As I mentioned, the crop of West Indian fast bowlers did not have to mouth of at batsman. Their fielders did not need to run up and chirp. The game did all the talking.

I wouldn't call Australia the best cricketing nation. They are the most successful team. They are the most highly rated team. But any team that lacks sportsmanship cannot be the best.

And it is telling if a team may be less successful if they play in a sporting game.

True champions are beloved by all. Something is wrong, when even neutral people cannot love you.
