Tadaka and his sons have shown to be Yaksha but as per Ramayana Tadaka, Maarich and Subahu were Rakshas and Ram killed Tadaka and Subahu and Maarich later turned into a Ram devotee.

Can someone explain.

Tadaka was born a yaksh. She married in a raksh family.

Edited to correct a spelling mistake.

oh.....wow...i always thought tadka was a raksh....

The way they show in Ramayan...she seems to have all the powers associated with the raksh culture...so i guess...she didn't look that ugly as shown in ramayan...since she was a yaksh...

Actually Ramayan showed it correct. When she was creating trouble in Vishwamitra's ashram, she was really ugly.

Initially Tadaka was very beautiful. Her husband Sunda was died because of a curse by sage Agastya. Tadaka and her son Mareech attacked Agastya to take revenge. Agastya cursed them to attain demon-hood. He also cursed Tadaka to become monstrous looking.

The first line of the first paragraph in the Wikipedia page you have mentioned says that Tataka married Sumali.

The first line of the second paragraph in the same page says that Tataka married Sunda.

As per Valmiki Ramayan, Tataka married Sunda.
