On the other hand, Raman had just gotten home and went straight to his room. He was extremely upset. He didn't know whether he was frustrated with the fact that he had to meet her at today or upset at himself for making her cry by yelling at her or whether the reason was something else.

He stood in front of the mirror and closed his eyes. All he saw was a series of flashbacks of what she had done to him. He remembered how she slapped him in front of hundreds of people, her putting a ring on Ashok, and how easily she had removed him from her life and asked him to stay away from her. He opened his eyes immediately and felt something on his face. He touched his face and felt something wet. He looked at his hand and then looked up at the mirror and saw a tears running down his face.

"Why am I crying? Why does she still affect me? It's not supposed to be like this. ...NO, She doesn't matter to me anymore...and the only reason I helped her was because she was alone and that's it. There is nothing more to it."

"But then why couldn't I see her in pain. Why did her tears make me want to cry?"

He stood there trying to find an answer to his questions when he was disturbed by a knock on the door. He turned around and saw a half asleep Ruhi standing by the door with her teddy in one hand touching the floor.

"Papa..." "Ruhi why are you still awake?"

"I was waiting for you. You said you would come fast."

He looked over at the clock which now read 10:30. He had promised her that he would be home in 15 minutes and was late by an hour and a half. He felt horrible for making his little girl wait because of that woman.

"Sorry, I had to do something on the way."

"No I am very mad." She said as she turned her face away with arms crossed as she made a pout. He kneeled down in front of her and held his ears. "Sorry." He said as he made a puppy face. That's when Ruhi noticed the cut on his hand. She gently touched his hand with hers and quickly pulled it back.

"What happened?" she asked innocently with fear and concern in her voice.

"It's nothing, a small cut. Like the one you got when you fell off your bike."

"Papa, will you be okay?"

I'm perfectly fine. I'll just bandage it and it will be okay." He said as he kissed her forehead

She ran to the dresser to go get the first-aid box and brought it back to Raman. Without saying a word, she picked up an ointment and carefully put it on his hand and helped him wrap a bandage on it. Then she placed a light kiss on his hand.

"Now it won't hurt. Now let's go eat." "You haven't eaten yet?!"

"I have, but you haven't. Come on fast, I am sleepy."

She pulled him into the kitchen and made sit on the chair as she went a pulled out a plate of food from the fridge. He went up to her and helped heat it up in the microwave and then sat down to eat. Before he could picked up his spoon to eat, Ruhi stopped him and took the spoon from his hands. She and blew on it making sure it wasn't too hot and feed it to him.

"It's okay beta, I will eat it myself."

"When I get hurt, you feed me, so now I will feed you so you don't hurt your hand more."

A lone tear escaped his eyes seeing his little girl act all grown up. Her innocent and caring actions gave his confused mind and heart the peace it really needed at the moment.

"Papa, why are you crying? Does it hurt?" "No, I'm okay."

On the other hand, Mihika went to the Khanna mansion to pick up Ishita to take her to the apartment the Iyers lived in. In the car, Mihika blasted Ishita about everyone had been worried about her and tried calling her, but couldn't reach her phone and they were about to go to the police, but thankfully she had called Mihika. After she was done with her rant, she realized Ishita has just staring out the car, not paying attention to anything she had said in the last 5 minutes. She gently tapped her shoulder and asked her what was wrong. Ishita brushed it off saying she was tired and just wanted to go home. Mihika, though unconvinced, continued driving silently. Throughout the whole drive, Ishita stared out the window thinking about what had a happened a while ago. Although his words said somethings else, his actions and eyes conveyed something else to her. He had helped her and kept her safe, but then also been rude to her. What had he become? This was not the straightforward Raman she knew, he was more complicated man, a complicated man that she figure out soon.

Her thought chain was broken by the brakes of the car as they reached the apartment building. As they went inside their home, her parents ran over to her and her mother bombarded her with questions while her dad asked her if she was okay. She said she was okay, but refused to answer any of her Amma's questions. Instead she went into Mihika's room which was filled with boxes since they were moving tomorrow, and changed her clothes and came out into the living room.

In the living room, she saw her mom had finally calmed out and asked her calmly about her whereabouts. Ishita finding no way to avoid the situation, she explained to everything that had happened but didn't tell anyone that Raman was the man who had helped her. Amma started to panic after hearing everything and was taken her by Appa, while Mihika and Ishita stayed back. Mihika still felt like Ishita was hiding something, so she asked her, but Ishita refused to say anything, but decided to ask her later. So she walked into the kitchen and got out plates full of food and heated them up.

"Mihika, don't heat up anything. I'm not hungry."

"You're not hungry Akka, but Amma is."

Ishita immediately took the heated from Mihika's hands and went into her Amma's room. Appa left the two alone as Mihika signalled him to come outside. Ishita sat down on the bed next to Amma and gave her a big hug.

"I am fine Amma. Don't worry."

"How can I not worry Ishu? Do you realize what could have happened if that man had not helped you?"

"But nothing happened, did it? So relax Amma."

Amma was upset at how lightly Ishita was taken everything while everyone had been so worried for her, but stayed quiet knowing she would just brush off anything she said. Ishita then pointed the plate of dinner.

"I'm hungry Amma. Will you feed me? Please?" "Of course I will."

"But wait! You also have to eat with me, okay?" Amma smiled faintly and nodded.

She fed Ishita with her own hands and when she came back from putting the dishes away, Ishita lay down in her lap. Amma started to pat her head and Ishita's thought drifted back to Raman and she went to sleep with a smile on her face and his thoughts in her head.
