Two days back, I was watching NBT on Rishtey channel.

In the Bhopal house, in a box, Megha and Mohan came across a couple of pictures. After seeing a happy family photograph, Megha uttered these words, "jisse pyar kiya usise shadi ki, ghar basaya...".

The words are simple but in the contemporary time, it is perhaps the most complex I mean, perhaps the most audacious of sentences. With so many people against "pyar" and vying for blood of young couples in love, Megha's satisfied utterance of a marital bliss out of romance gave me a peculiar feeling.

It feels so nice just to hear a woman (though she can be a character of a story) expressing with such content that she married the guy she loved. The stress can be on "jisse" and "usise".

What is worth noting is that even she had to scrap all relations with her maternal home to be with the man she loved. Time changes but situations remain the same and can any-day become apocalyptic for any couple in love. With so much stress coming from all sides, Megha's simple statement came as a source of immense relief.

THANK YOU WRITERS for such a pertinent dialogue.

Yes, Megha is true to her words and feelings. Just like Amar, she later on loves and marries Mohan though it was not so smooth !
