He did not answer back, but he kind of put SK in his place. SK was not commenting or appreciating the efforts put into the dish. He was just point out the flaws. VK did not like that, so he shared his opinion about the dish. With that opinion alone, SK got the message. it was nice to see VK do that because SK is too negative and rude at times to the contestants. Nice to see VK subtly put SK in his place.

Even though I don't like Bhakti but still I liked the fact that VK said that the dish is good. SHe had put 2 hours of labor into the dish, so we should atleast appreciate that the taste is good and then point out that she didn't follow the rules.

Itne bollywood type dialogues kyun in a cooking show?

He wanted to say - 'This dish is not worth MC standard' but then decided to sugar coat his words since he likes Vijay and he has done good work in the past😆

I don't understand the comments I see from time to time about Sanjeev Kapoor smelling the food before eating it. He is a judge of cuisine and an expert, and part of analyzing food is also its aroma. There is a strong connection biologically between smell and taste (people who have damage in their nose sometimes lose the sense of taste; a big part of judging wine includes sampling its aroma; etc.), and so a judge of food needs to consider all parts of it: aroma, taste, texture, etc. I am sure the others do it too but probably it's not as obvious or is edited out.

Just did a search, and this page lists some of the considerations for judging food: http://www.etiquettescholar.com/dining_etiquette/gourmet_guide/food/judging_food.html.

I think the editing and scripting of the show is done in a way to make the judges look bad

Personally I like seeing SK on his own cooking show or when he visits other shows.

He just doesn't suit the role of a judge. The show is being edited to make him seem more dominant and more important. when judgement time comes, it seems like his word is the only and last word regardless of the other judges opinions. No more equality left.

Like I stated in another forum, VK is being sidelined which sucks. I feel as if RB is being promoted heavily in this season, alongside SK

Personally I don't like the way RB is shown - he most often just rewords what SK says plus I hate how he points his fingers in contestants faces. If he was in North America he would be put in his place. Its considered very rude here. I also noticed the VK does not seem to "gel" with RB, which is why we do not seem them in the same frame together.
