Actress Sonakshi Sinha starts shoot for her upcoming film Akira'. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the Tevar' actress will be seen playing an intense character.
Akira' is an action-thriller and Sonakshi will be seen in a new avatar packing a few punches. For the very first time Sonakshi will get to play an action lady and she has been undergoing various training sessions and also learning martial arts. Sonakshi plays the character Akira who fights back after being cornered by society.
The film is produced by Fox Star Studios and would be shot in parts of Mumbai, Pune and Rajasthan.

Sonakshi Sinha begins shooting for Murugadoss's next; the film also features Shatrughan Sinha and Anurag Kashyap

Along with the daughter-father duo, filmmaker Anurag Kashyap has been roped in to play the baddie in the film.

The rest of the cast hasn't been finalised for Murugadoss's third venture in the language after 'Ghajini' and 'Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty'.

ARM makes entertaining action thrillers. So this will do good for Sonakshi's career as she's been typecasted a lot as a desi girl in masala films with nothing to do.
Her punches will actually look hard coming from someone who has a good diet 😆
Excited to see Anurag Kashyap as a villain too.

i have seen the movie mounaguru...if this akira is a remake of this film , then there is not much for the female lead to do
unless she is being cast in the role of the police officer ...
