Fortunately, Harki saw her son eyeing Nimboli surreptiously and she may take some action.

Even Jagya anandi had some similar scene I dont exactly remember.

For a villager, Harki has very well maintained and polished toenails.

The way Nimboli teases Harki is funny to watch. They want to show Nimboli somewhat different from child anandi.

Mangala seems to be the protective angel for Nandini.

Her silent acting, her rural accent quite appealing.

The way Nandini's story is unfolding - it seems creatives are confused. Akhera and Harki do not have any soft corner for the child - it is very difficult to understand their character. If they have accepted her as daughter-in-law, then at least Harki should have some affection for her. And I now know that creatives visit the forum. Earlier - Nandini always roam freely in house - watching other ladies doing all the work - several people commented about this - now they have started showing Nandini working also.

Clearly, the new family replaced shekhars fully.

I dont mind watching this family and its journey.

If Akhera and family is so cruel, how they have not made Nandini sleep with Kundan? After all, this is the norm where child marriages are prevalent and this is how young girls - some as young as 11 years old become mother.

I agree, the scene today was not vulgar. But the audacity of Kundan - not caring about the caretaker sleeping with Nandini was intriguing.

And after watching her son, Harki may decide to perform gauna! And Mangala may protest.

Why gauna? Gauna (or donga) is apbhransh of dwiragaman - meaning going to sasural second time. Earlier, the girls remained in their maika after marriage and start living in sasural after gauna. Here Nandini is living in sasural - so no chance of gauna. Also, her parental home is not known - gauna is done by parents.

You are right. I thought gauna means SR too.

This family is full of characters which are just as half baked as Shekhars' family members are.

They treat her like a maid and not really accepted as DIL.From Mangala and Harki conversation that's what has been made out.
If they think that she is their DIL they have not really tried to groom her to take over the duties of Beendini like Dsa Sumi did
As for house work she was made to do that before too.They implied that she is made to do a lot of work.

That Kundan - Nandini - scene is much similar to Jagya Anandi scene was - But there Sumi and Bhairon were there to ensure that Anandi came to no harm.
Here Mangala is the only one - but she doesn't have voice.So don't know what will happen to Nandini.
But this Kundan is lot more harmful than Jagya had been for one there is no other modifying influence like Jagya had.
