Randhir Singh Shekhawat... Tall, dark and handsome... Intelligent and definitely creative beyond imagination with a similar handsome quality of salary amount that enters his account at the end of each month... One and only son of two renowned businessmen; Randhir never had to struggle in his life... Life was offered to him on a silver platter...
Genius he always was and possessed every quality to take over his parents business but still Randhir's dream was something else... On his 10th birthday he had received a Flip-Book from a relative and for the first time he was enthralled to see how some similar kind of inanimate picture drawn on every page of the book become animate when he flipped the pages of the book... There was a whole story inside it...
Let's hear the next part from Randhir himself...
Tuesday morning 10.20 a.m... Randhir entered the Conference Room with the scripts of their new project...
We have a meeting at next ten minute... The Directors PKC and Maya Mam, Supervisor Vardhan Sir, other senior animators like Parth, Vidushi, Jiggy, Sahil, Yoyo and off course Miss Know-it-all Sanyukta Agarwal... The Team Leaders and senior members from other department would be present too as well... Rehan and Azaan from the modelling section... Asther from story-boarding section... Arpita and Kaustuki from Lighting and Compositing section...
They would be discussing about their new project in vivid... Till now from the production team only Randhir and Sanyukta knows the details about the new project... Only a day before PKC had held the first meeting about this project where apart from him, Maya Mam and Vardhan Sir and these two arch enemies were also present... Rehan and Azaan were also present but they were from the pre-production team... And post meeting Sanyukta had almost killed him with her non-stop interrogation about why it wasn't a love story'!!!
She is really a headache... I mean it, she really is... Okay now I agree from the context of the story anyone would think it a love story... And moreover Dream Team is best known for making Love Stories... They had been making movies for past ten years and maximum of them is based on love stories and they are really hit... But this time PKC had decided to make something "out of the box"...
So he had decided to make this movie which from my point of view was a mixture of Anastasia, Megamind and The Beauty and the Beast... And according to PKC it is not a love story... It is the story of a girl who would be struggling to find out her true identity... And in due course she will meet this highly talented mad genius guy who is supposed to be the hero cum villain of the story... He will create lot of problem for the girl but eventually fall for the girl and help her find out her family and identity... This is PKC's 'out of the box' idea...
Now what else can you ask from a man whose favourite hobby is watching fairytales while stuffing in burgers from Mc Donald's?? He lacked new themes and concepts... What he is really expert at is stealing plot from other movies and make something out of it and call it his own creativity... Just like their new project...
Now here's the connection: the girl has lost her memory in childhood and was raised in an orphanage... And after she turns into 18; she sets out to find out her family... A very clear resemblance to Anastasia... And not to forget PKC didn't even pressurize himself too much to come up with the names of the leads of His movie... There it was Anya; here PKC had put an 'S' before the same name making it Sanya... Now coming to PKC's Hero cum Villain 'Ranir' who is more of an Indian version of Megamind... Though I find this name Ranir very weird and somehow I feel this weird name has something to do with me and Samir; the former Team Leader of our dept... I have a doubt well I'm 100% sure actually that this name has been suggested by Ms Know-it-all Agarwal though I don't have any solid proof... She hated Samir and she hates me... Well not that I'm complaining about her hating Samir; I hated that guy too and everyone in our dept hated him... He was a first class moron if you ask me...
Samir was the Team Leader in the production dept when I joined Dream Team... It was one year ago when Dream Team was busy with their last project... At a first look Samir seems a pretty decent guy to me... He was about 30, 5"9 feet height, squared face and had a toothy smile which made him look dumb... But he was a nice guy overall... But only six month in the Dream Team and earning a lot of appreciation from Maya Mam and Vardhan Sir didn't go well with him... Soon his true colours were out in-front of me...
He started dumping all the D-graded shots to me which normally the juniors do... He tried to cut off my productivity... And since then his behavior became annoying... His remarks became annoying... His face and his stupid smile became annoying... Even his name became annoying...
With Sanyukta it was a whole different story!! She was in the queue to become the next Team Lead of production dept after Samir... But for some reason unknown Maya Mam selected me as the new TL after which Samir left Dream Team... If Sanyukta was happy on one hand after Samir's departure; she was furious too with me... Now it wasn't my fault if the Directors and the Supervisor himself decide to make me the TL!! Actually it's totally the opposite... I take it as a credit...
The glass door of the conference room opened and brought back Randhir from his thoughts... Sanyukta entered with Parth and Vidushi while Randhir glanced once at her and concentrate on the papers in his hands... While she took a place right opposite to him; her eyes fixed on him sternly all the while... Vidushi took the empty chair beside her while Parth came towards him and patted him once before sitting beside him...
"Hi Randhir... So finally we are starting our new project??" He asked taking the scripts from Randhir who handed it over to him... After all they must be prepared too for the headache PKC will give them in next few minutes...
"So what has PKC stored for us this time??" Vidushi asked while adjusting her hair looking at the screen of her new Android phone... While Sanyukta passed a deadly look to Randhir tapping her fingers on the table in a rhythmic way which he royally ignored...
"Nothing new; it's just a mixture of Anastasia, Megamind and The Beauty and the Beast!!" Randhir shared his thoughts about the scripts which made Vidushi paused for a moment and gaped at him...
"God save us!!" Parth said while going through the script... "How I wish it to be Maya Mam's project!!" He sighed... Maya Mam's projects are always interesting... She can bring new and different angles in love stories... But the fact PKC's scripts had been cancelled twice before in the previous projects, he is determined that Dream Team would be working on his script this time...
Vidushi couldn't resist anymore and went beside Parth and bent over the scripts along with him... While Randhir looked up towards Sanyukta who was then busy with WhatsApp...
Randhir observed her keenly for the next one minute... She is still the same; Randhir could remember from his first meeting with her one year ago... Only her behaviour has changed due to their fights for position, but not her... She is the only girl in Dream Team who has got minimum fashion sense; she keeps repeating her boring Kurtis almost every week... She has got no knowledge about trendy hairstyles or makeup as her straight hairs are left open most of the time just like her face was devoid of any kind of makeup except her light and little shiny pink lips which Randhir had this strong urge to feel beneath his fingers and kiss deep and intensely...
And that is what worries him sometimes... He cannot feel like this for her after-all it cannot be a love story...
