MaNan OS - Messy Sweet Love

Hola everyone 😃 !!! i know all of us are upset about the so called merger of KYY with WH 🥱 and all are moods were totally off..Hence 😉 am here with another OS of mine with an attempt to cheer up you all 😛 and to look forward to tonight's epi !This is kind of like a continuation after Fab5 returns from WH.

OS - Messy Sweet Love

Manik glanced at the time and groaned aloud 'Damn it ! Its almost 1am and i cant call her now.I hope she is ok and out of trouble.God knows she cant stay away from trouble' he rolled his eyes muttering to himself as he entered his bedroom literally dragging his feet.His eyes felt heavy from tiredness and lack of sleep.

The last 48 hrs have been sheer hell.Granted it was good to get back to Warrior High and catch up with V, one of their partner in crime during their school days and reminiscent all the good memories of their Warrior High days.But it also meant being away from Nandini.

He closed his eyes as he remembered her beautiful smiling face and the way she hugged him when she realised he was jealous.Yes he was jealous he admitted to himself.The thought of Pandit touching Nandini even casually and the way he looked at her in the candle light in the name of practice made his blood boil.How dare that Pandit touch his Nandini?

He sat down on the bed and combed his hair with his fingers in a frustrated manner.Yes Nandini is His.His to protect,his to cherish and his to -----Love.He admitted to himself with a defeated sigh.He was literally stumped when Pandit questioned him who is he to Nandini.He was left speechless and he dint like it one bit.Now he knew what she meant to him.This 48 hrs without seeing her and hearing her voice, made his heart ache with yearning for her.

Only by sheer will power he managed not to dump the entire trip to WH and going back to her.He had to force himself countless times to remember that he hates her and dont care what she does.Although his heart decided to ignore it all and his thoughts kept going back to her.He couldnt imagine her alone with that Pandit.He had stopped himself from calling to check on her million times these 2 days.And he is finally glad to be back.

As he lay on the bed and closed his eyes, his last thoughts is of her smiling face when she said her hope is winning.He slept peacefully with a smile on his face.

The next day Manik woke up early and reached Space.He cant wait to see her.He searched for her in Music room and other places but couldnt find her anywhere.With a frustrated sigh he called her phone and cursed when it was switched off.

"What the hell? Phone switch off kar diya? She just loves to torture me" he muttered irritably.

"Manik " he turned to look at Pandit staring at him"I see you are back from dehradun and you are on time.Not bad.Shall we start the practice? " Pandit said and went inside the music room without waiting for a response.

"But where is Nandini? " He said as he kept looking around him in search of her.

Pandit gave him a stern glance " Nandini wont be coming today as she is unwell.Now stop wasting time and lets get to work" ignoring Manik he sat down with the instruments.

"What? She is unwell? But why dint she tell me? " He spoke frowning to himself.

"Manik i dont have time to answer your questions.Now shall we start? " Pandit frowned in anger when Manik remained motionless.

"I need to go " without bothering for permission Manik just left the room in a rush leaving an angry Pandit behind.

Nandini moaned clutching her head and fell back on the bed.It felt like 1000 drums are beating inside her head.'Aiyappa why am i having such terrible headache and cold today ? I cant stay in bed all day though.Manik would have been back by now and i have to see him ' she said to herself and smiled thinking about their last meeting before he left for warrior high.She is now more confident of winning her old Manik back.

At that precise moment the door bell buzzed.Instinctively she whispered 'Manik? ' her heart thudding in excitement for a moment before she shook herself "Shayad Navya hogi "

The door bell rang several times by the time Nandini dragged herself down clutching her head " Pl stop am coming ! " She opened the door to find an angry Manik on the door way.

"Manik" Nandini's face immediately broke out into wide smile on seeing him.

Seeing her, Manik's anger evaporated in a second replaced by concern.My God she look so pale.He came in immediately and hugged her close , much to Nandini's surprise and delight.

For few mins world just seemed to stop as they both felt peace being in each other's arms.No words required as their hug communicated how much they missed being away from each other.However reality intruded when Manik realised Nandini's skin felt warm to his touch.He pulled away and touched her forehead frowning.

"Nandini you are burning with fever.Why dint you tell me you are not well? Do you have any idea how worried i was? " he asked lightly shaking her.

Nandini touched his hand to calm him down " Manik relax.Am perfectly ok.Its just that i have severe cold and headache.Shayad uski waje se my body feels warm.Its not a big deal "

"Not a big deal? Damn it you are unwell and i had to learn about it through that Pandit?And why the hell your phone is switched off " He gritted his teeth in anger and glared at her.

Nandini frowned in confusion " Switched off ?" she then banged her head lightly with her hand " Oh battery must have been dead.I forgot to charge it after i spoke to Panditji"

He folded his arms and continued to glare at her " Oh so you had time to inform Pandit but you dint bother to tell me? He is more important now?"

Nandini rolled her eyes "Manik i called to tell him i will be late as i was not feeling well but he told me to take rest.But anyways i was coming to college because you " she stopped and looked away shyly.

Suddenly Manik realised that while he was yelling at her,she was struggling to stand properly.Even her voice seemed croaky.

Manik gently cupped her shoulders and moved her to sit on the couch " Am sorry.I just---" he closed his eyes and opened them "forget it.Where is chachi? You really look very pale.Did you see a doctor ? "

Nandini smiled "Manik am ok really.And Chachi has taken Rishab for his regular check up.She will be back by evening "

"What? She left you alone like this? how long have you been sick? " He asked looking at her face with concern.

"Manik calm down ! Its really not that bad.If i lie down for a while it will fly away.Anyways Chachi dint want to leave me alone.I forced her to go as its difficult to get the specialist appointment.By the way when did you come back? " she said trying to calm him down.

Manik stood up and carried her in his arms in one sweep making Nandini scream in surprise "Manik what are you doing? Put me down"

"Relax.You just said ki you will be fine if you lie down right? So doing just that " he said as he carried her up to her room like she weighed nothing.

"But Manik i can walk up to my own room.You dont have to carry me " Her argument fell on deaf ears as he ignored her and finally entered her room, and laid her gently on the bed.

"Nandini Murthy can you keep your mouth shut for few mins and just relax " he made her lie properly in bed and covered her with a blanket.

Nandini smiled " Mr.Manik Malhotra if you dint notice, let me tell you that my hope is continuing to win.You can pretend that you dont care about me but you cant stop yourself "

Manik glared at her and pouted " Ms.Nandini Murthy dont flaunt your smartness with me.Now tell me if you have eaten anything or not"

Nandini's heart began dancing at the adorable way he is getting all motherly on her.He quirked his eyebrow impatiently as he waited for her answer.

"Uh- woh actually am not hungry.I will make soup later --" she stopped mid way when he stood up.

"God you are so careless ! You keep giving lectures to everyone na but khud ko dekho " he shook his head.

"Manik like i said am not hungry and you sound as if i have some big disease that cant be cured its just --" she stopped again when he brought his face close to her so fast before she could even blink.

"Dont you dare say anything stupid like that Nandini " his voice softened as he cupped her cheek lovingly in his hand and looked in her eyes "Dont " he whispered again and slowly straightened.

"You just stay here.I will go and make that soup for you" he said and Nandini's mouth opened in surprise " What?tum mere liye soup banaoge? Mr.Manik Malhotra ! Seriously? Tumhe even pata hai how to make a soup? " she said looking amused.

"Ms.Nandini Murthy.There is nothing that Manik Malhotra cant do.I will figure it out.But you just stay put and rest.I will be back " He said and before she could argue he went down the stairs and towards the kitchen.

"Aiyappa am i dreaming? Manik is here and he is going to make soup for me? This is just unbelievable ! " she grinned happily hugging herself.

After few minutes, she jerked upright when she heard the noise of vessels falling down and string of Manik's curses right in sync with the noise.She quickly got up from the bed and went down searching for him.

"Manik? Tum - " she stopped in her tracks when she saw the mess he had created in the kitchen.Flour were strewn on the floor and vegetables lay scattered on the kitchen counter in a messy disarray.Manik looked at her like a deer caught up in the headlight holding a knife upside down in his hands and covered in flour himself.

Nandini started laughing " Oh my god Manik ! What are you trying to do "

Manik pouted irritably in that adorable way she loved " Um - woh actually i was trying to search for something but this fell away on me " he coughed when some of the flour went inside his mouth when he spoke.

Nandini laughed again " Manik dont speak and dont try to touch your eyes.Jalega " she said as she carefully stepped aside the mess and reached him.She took the washcloth next to the sink and cleaned his face while he fidgeted.

They both became lost in each other while Nandini shyly looked at him while wiping his face.Suddenly she giggled "Dont know how we always end up in such situations "

Manik too began chuckling rolling his eyes "Thank god Cabir and others are not here this time.Else i will never live this one " he said referring to the Atta incident that happened few days ago in Cabir's house.

"But Manik what are you doing here? I mean are'nt you supposed to be practising with Panditji? Already you missed two days class because of your Warrior High trip "She said as she finished cleaning him.

Manik closed his eyes " Nandini can we please not talk about your Panditji? I dont need him to train me anyway.Now bekaar ki baatein chodo just tell me where everything is and i will make your soup"

Nandini swatted his arm and glared at him " Manik he is not my Panditji.Why am i even arguing with you ! You will anyway wont listen to me" She said looked at him mischievously " Fine Mr.Manik Malhotra, I will tell you how to make the soup.Let me see what you can do "

Manik gave her a devilish smirk as he swatted her nose playfully with a finger " You have no idea what all i can do Ms.Nandini Murthy" He then lifted her and placed her on the kitchen slab " But that's for a different day, for now let's get some food into you"

Nandini blushed and looked away.For the next half an hour they worked in perfect sync as Nandini sat on the kitchen slab and explained where everything is and how to make the soup while Manik although struggled initially quickly caught up with her.

"And now you can switch off the stove.Our soup is ready ! I will get the plates" Nandini said smilingly and tried to get down.

Manik switched off the stove and stopped her from getting down " You stay where you are.Let me get it"

Nandini smiled feeling very happy ,at the way he is hovering around her and agreed "Ok "

Manik got a bowl and a spoon and placed it on the table.Nandini frowned " Why just one bowl? Arent you going to eat with me? "

Manik looked at the soup doubtfully and shook his head " I - am not hungry"

Nandini gave him a teasing smile" Ohhh so you are scared to test your own dish? Manik i know you wouldnt have had your breakfast yet.So get one more bowl.Besides you need to sample your first ever made soup " She said winking at him.

Manik rolled his eyes "Fine " then without thinking he removed the hot pan from the stove in his bare hands and yelped in pain when it burned "Ow!" he placed it quickly back on the kitchen counter and clutched his hands "Damn it ! "

"Oh my god Manik ! "Nandini jumped from the kitchen slab and was beside him in a second and held his hands to inspect " Let me see " she gasped when his hands already turned a deep red.

"Manik how can you be so careless.You cant just remove the hot pan directly in your hands.Now see how bad it is " she blew on it gently and took him to the sink and opened cool water on it.

"Ow ! " Manik cried again and took away his hands.But Nandini stubbornly held it under the cool water " Manik stop figeting.Keep holding it here, i will get some ice" she said sternly and opened the fridge quickly to get some ice.

She then pushed protesting Manik towards the hall and made him sit on the couch " Manik stop being so difficult ! Am just applying ice " she said as she gently applied ice on his hands and softly blowing on them.

"Nandini am fine.It dint burn that much " He said while Nandini pouted " Really?" she shook her head and continued.

Manik got lost in her as she lovingly took care of his hands.Nandini suddenly rolled her eyes at him "Manik what is it with you and your hands? Cant you stay away from hurting it all the time? Jab dekho kuch na kuch tumhara haath se hojata hai.Bandage ke bina tum reh nahi sakte kya? "

Manik pouted " Very funny.Am okay now.Your soup is getting cold.You should eat now "

"But Manik -- " He placed a finger on her lips " Shh no argument " But before he could go and get the soup, Nandini did it " Tum reh ne do am not that weak ki i cant walk and pick up dishes " she said and poured the soup on both bowls and pointed at her hands" See you need to use a towel or some table cloth.Directly hot pan ko nahi pakad na chahiye "

Manik looked at the soup doubtfully while Nandini took a spoon to taste it.He held her hand " Wait! Am not sure how it is.So let me just check "

Nandini smiled and pushed his hands " Jaise bhi ho.You made it for me.So i will like it " she sipped it and immediately made some funny faces.

Manik face dropped and he looked at her in concern " That bad? Nandini just leave that i will get you something from outside " he said and stopped her.

Nandini laughed " Got you ! You should look at your face.Manik i was just kidding.Its really very nice " she said and continued to eat.

Manik still looked doubtful " Really ? " Nandini smiled " Yes really.Here taste it " she said lifting her spoon near his lips.Manik opened his mouth slowly, all the time looking deep into her eyes.Nandini felt captivated by his gaze and looked at him shyly as he sipped the soup from her hand.

Manik looked surprised after taking the first sip " Not bad.Its actually edible "

Nandini smiled " Its not just edible its very good" She then smiled gleefully "And Manik you are very far behind now.My hope keeps winning.After all this you have done for me you cant keep saying you hate me "

Manik's breath hitched seeing her smiling hopeful expression.There is no point in denying the truth to himself anymore.Manik cupped her cheek and admitted truthfully "No Nandini.I dont hate you.I dont think i ever did.Its just that i was very hurt and angry with you.But how much ever i tried to hate you i just couldn't"

He cupped her face in between his hands and looked into her eyes " Nandini i love you too much to hate you.This 2 days away from you had been hell for me.I never knew the meaning of true love until i met you.You changed me as a person and made me good.You are the love of my life, my shining star.I love you Nandini "

Nandini's heart fluttered happily and she placed her own hands on top of his.Her eyes shining bright with happy tears " And i love you Manik.More than you will ever know "

Manik smiled and kissed her eyelids lovingly " I know.Inspite of me being a monster to you, of having hurt you with my words and behavior, you never lost your hope on me.On us.You -- you never gave up "

Nandini smiled no longer able to stop the happy tears flowing from her eyes " Manik i will never give up.I love you and i trust you and your love for me "

Overwhelmed by her sheer trust and love he couldnt wait one more second to taste her lips again.Without saying another word, he lowered his head and captured her lips with his.Sealing the promise of undying love through their kiss.
