Smriti Irani wants her to-be-launched website to be just like Oprah Winfrey's site

Smriti Irani has ambitious plans of modelling her soon-to-be launched website on the lines of Oprah Winfrey's website. It's a great plan to have, but will the website match up to Oprah's?

Says a source, "Smriti wants it to be designed like Oprah Winfrey's website. The website is taking some time as it needs lots of work and requires volumes of pages. It requires a huge investment as well. Discussions, detailing and presentations pertaining to the look of the website have already been made."

"Besides showcasing Smriti's profile, body of work and pictures, the website will involve marketing, branding and franchising of products at competitive rates. This will help in business networking and sponsorships. It's a mindblowing concept which we expect will work well," adds the source.

Reportedly, Smriti's website will cost approximately Rs 15 lakh and will run into 500 pages. Once the details of the website are worked out, it will be handed over to a dotcom company (glamsham.com) for designing.

The website is the brainchild of Smriti's good friend and ex-executive producer of Virrudh, Vinith Handa. He says, "Smriti surely deserves a website
