Cvs are bestowing all the powers to Akshara and Naitik and others are becoming dumber day by day. But there are those who can be named as Thali ke Baigans. I mean those characters who flow with the motion or others views, especially that of Akshara's. These are major thali ke baigans:
Omi kaka: Like his wife, Omi also never got much space in screen and whatever dialogue he utter are usually first said by others and he repeats them. Like sunaina, he too looks a side-kick and yes sir boy to his big bro Vishambhar.
Devyaani and Bhabhimaa: Both these women usually don't have their point of view. Even if they have then it's usually wronged by others or made them feel so. They both are sidekicks of each other. They can mostly be seen saying "Munna/Bahu tu theek keh rahi hai"
Karishma: I don't dislike Karishma's character entirely. She has been an ambitious and career oriented gurl with her individual thinking to express. But now she too looks like Thali ka Baigan to me. Now she too doesn't strike her own opinion much and depends upon akshara. Now a days we hear her mostly saying "Haan bhabhi aap bilkul theek keh rahi hai"...
Rajbanna: Rajbanna doesn't go to office so we don't know what does he do at home. He can often be seen reading newspapers and relishing sweets. So in his case we understand, such a person does lose his power of decision making and individuality.
Sunaina Kaaki: CVs have never explored Sunaina's character. She looks more like side kick to her jethani, Rajshri, than a maheshwari bahu. Most of the times, she can be seen saying "Aap theek keh rahi hai didi". She is more like yes madam devrani to rajshri.. It seems she has no thinking or thought process of her own.

But there are people in the show who have their opinion and they never shy away from expressing it. Like:
Daadi: She is the most respectable of all. I love her majorly because of her valuable advice and teaching that she imparts from time to time.
Muskaan: She sometimes looks like one in the flock of sheep but mostly she is independent in thinking. She is more sensible than karishma and naman.
