Swetz, Dharma is not dead...in today's episode (well yesterday's episode for you) Chanakya is investigating the whole matter. They are just keeping everything a mystery right now, but there is definitely some sort of secret to what happened to Dharma in reality. Nirjara is still missing, so nothing is certain as of yet I guess.

I don't know too much of real Indian history, but yes I have heard Ashoka had a younger brother.
