Hello to everyone!
I don't normally make posts for any shows; just write stories or comment on other posts.
But I had to for this show. That too for a particular reason.

I'm not even going to go on about how enraged I am with Pam, and Neil's character as a bheegi billi. Like I can't go there without feeling angry, and I'm in quite a nice mood as I watch India rocking the match (lemme know if anyone wants to have cricket WC talks. I'm a fanatic :D) Anyway getting back to topic...
But what i do want to talk about is Ranbir.

I do not. Repeat. DO NOT understand why there was no closure to the whole incident with Shilpa.
Okay, I have missed a couple of episodes here and there, so do correct me if I'm wrong.
But I'm appalled at how that situation was handled.

Not only did no one try and talk some sense into Ranbir about how he committed such a huge mistake, but everyone seems to have conveniently moved on with everything else. Not to mention Shilpa, who is in love with him? Like whaaat?

I was expecting a scene with Nachiket talking to Ranbir, being angry with him, explaining to him the value of life and how he was so wrong in doing this. I WANT to see him angry. Is he not concerned with the way Ranbir is acting? I want him to discipline him. To teach him. To be a good father. He seems very concerned about Nishi, but what about other kids? I just don't want to see a father being concerned for his son.

Furthermore, how is Pam being a good "mother" if she is not teaching him the right things? To make it worse, she is condoning his pretense of being in love with Shilpa despite having clearly gone through something that makes her stay away from love?! How does that even make sense? Until she was only targeting Ragini, I understood why because she clearly has issues with Ragini. BUT. HOW in the world is Aarav a part of this? Like Ranbir, he too has been separated from one parent. This is just heights of stupidity.

Maybe I'm expecting too much, but all these little things are adding up.
Nachiket's lack of courage in front of Pam, Pam's disgusting interference in Neil's life, Ragini's selfish behaviour with Aman (which by the way is another discussion on its own as well), not to mention Ranbir's idiotic idea of revenge. Let's not even go there.

I am loving the cast, and even the overall story.
But I wish they also paid attention to these little details which really give a story its edge.
IKNMP is a beautifully set story, and I really want to make posts on appreciation of the story, just like you guys do for the beautiful scenes we get to see.

But I'm just upset with how things are going.

Hopefully I'm not spreading negativity. Just wanted to share this with you guys.
It saddens me to see them wasting a concept that has so much potential!

OH...
AND also, I'm in the mood to write stories/one-shots. So if there's a scenario, do let me know! Comment here, scrap me, or even PM. I'd love to hear your ideas :P

Take careee lovelies <3

Hello Hinal! Welcome to IKNMP forum 😃
And don't worry you are not spreading negativity at all! Lol even i don't get it why such idiotic things are planned at the first place by the cv's.

Nachiket's lack of courage in front of Pam, Pam's disgusting interference in Neil's life, Ragini's selfish behaviour with Aman (which by the way is another discussion on its own as well), not to mention Ranbir's idiotic idea of revenge. Let's not even go there.

^These three lines sums up everything through which many scenes are going haywire in the show.

So we have a new writer! Yay! Okay just start writing on them man, they are adorable! A scene from nishi's marriage where they are remembering their old days or some emotional moment when they find each other getiing weak or something or just good flashbacks.
Btw you were on d3 forum if i am not mistaken?
😉

Thank you for the welcome 😳
And right? Honestly, they are ruining it ROYALLY :/

:D That's actually a good idea. There are so many emotional scenes that could be happening, but they're so focused on the weird storylines, sad laugh. 😛
I shall try and write something on that :D

And yes! :)
I've written two stories on there I think, one of Vicky-Neha and one on Swaron :D
I remember you from there too! Although to be honest, I don't remember if we spoke then or I just recognize the id 😆

I actually hate the fact that pam dominates neil like hell much. Dude comeon you're showing him as the best heart surgeon in the show -__- I feel like slapping him sometimes :/ Her sister speaks trash infront of him and he just stands there like a jerk!

No we never spoke, just i have seen your id like so many times there so it immediately struck me! Great so we landed up on another forum haha, its good to talk to you hinal, its always good to relate to old people in an new place! Its like everybody is walking in a crowd and you suddenly spot one person who is new to that place just like you and then you shout from another corner and say "Helllooo!" that feeling you know.
Sorry i am speaking lame 😆

The concept of the show is amazing but they miss the details. The crispness of a good story or a good writer are missing.
It's sloppy.

Great post and absolutely spot on!!
There is so little interaction between the parents and the children, and in situations when it is necessary to show some kind of exchange, and when none is shown, I feel very cheated.
I don't think it is sloppiness on the part of the writers, I think it is deliberate. The emphasis in on adult relationships, and on teenage romance and NOT between children and parents.
This is where this show fails big time.
