Bad slot overshadows bold script |
Must admit, Zee TV has consistently stayed away from the saas bahu staple, but unfortunately they haven't put up a real challenge by supporting their shows with a publicity blitz. Hence some of their good shows die before they end. Just hope Kasshish is not made to fall by the wayside. Old is gold, an adage even the Zee TV programming heads have resorted to. It is good to see Ravi Rai return to the small screen with Kasshish, a bold script, which deals with extra-marital affairs and has cast television's two very capable actresses opposite each other — Simone Singh and Kitu Gidwani. But the series is being given short shrift. When it was launched there was no publicity and it has been tucked away into the 11.30 pm slot. It is one of the better shows on TV and made still better with some fine performances especially by Simone Singh. The serial is rooted in reality with some flesh and blood characters. What it suffers from is lack of notice. Can that be rectified? |
