Gold Awards postponed

Sources suggest administrative problems as the reason

Television's most talked about awards - Maverick Productions' (of Anuj Saxena) and White Leaf Entertainment's (of Vikaas Kalantri and Pooja Ghai) Gold Awards that was to be held in Mauritius on September 8, has been postponed to September 22. It is learnt that the organisers faced problems with regard to hotel bookings and other arrangements of the guests. The organisers didn't want to earn a blotch on their repute for poor management of the event. So they postponed it.
When contacted, Vikaas denied there being any problems. He says, "We needed more time for groundwork and for promoting the awards. So we decided to postpone it." The Gold Awards has been making news right since its inception. From its launch to running into a rough weather of sorts with Balaji actors allegedly being told to keep away from it, the Awards has always been in the limelight.
It is learnt that actors Hussain, Narayani Shastri, Gaurav Chopra, Urvashi Dholakia and Rajshri Thakur are amongst those who will perform at the awards. The awards will be telecast on Zee. That raises the doubt if actors from 'Kasamh Se' will attend the awards. To that Vikaas says, "I am not sure of that. I will have to check with the channel. But we have a lot of big names with us. Now we are in a dilemma who to call."
