Episode 4: The Strike of Love
Back in Mumbai, Bhoomi was admitted into a small clinic for the injury on her shoulder. Sagar, Chhaya, Krish, Roshan, and Sanaya all waited outside in the waiting room. Sagar, in particular, was restless as he sat in his chair, while the others stood watching him. Krish then came up to Sagar, holding the two prism shards that were captured from Vardhan. "Hey...Sagar. Here are the prism shards from Vardhan. At least we were able to get two," Krish told Sagar as he held his hand out, lending the shards to Sagar. "Since you and Bhoomi mainly fought him, they're yours I guess."
Sagar then turned, looking directly at the prism shards in Krish's hand. He then said, "No. You guys keep them." The others looked at Sagar, confused.
"It was my mistake for making me and Bhoomi take on someone as powerful as Vardhan on our own. Because of that, she's in this state. If you all didn't come in, we would've been goners," Sagar told the others. "You guys each keep a shard. Its only fair."
"Are you sure?" Chaya asked.
"Please. Take them." Sagar said.
"Thanks, Sagar," Sanaya smiled. "And don't worry...Bhoomi will be fine."
"Of course he's worried about his girlfriend." Krish whispered to Chaya.
Chaya then smacked Krish on the back of his head, making him land with a thud. "Now's not the time for your stupid remarks." Chaya said in an annoyed voice.
Suddenly, a nurse then stepped out from the room Bhoomi was being treated in. Sagar and the others went up to her and Sagar asked, "How is Bhoomi?! Is she all right?!"
"She's fine now. She just needs some rest," the nurse replied. "You may go see her if you like."
"Thank you, nurse." Roshan said.
The nurse nodded and then left. Sagar then turned to the others. "If you guys don't mind...I'd like to see her alone." Sagar said. The others looked at Sagar, surprised. Sanaya then smiled and said, "We understand. Its probably best for now. We'll come back later." Sagar nodded and then headed inside the room.
"I wonder why he wanted to see her alone." Roshan said.
"Typical boyfriend-girlfriend thing!" Krish exclaimed.
Chaya then smacked Krish on the back of his head again, making him fall again. "Must you always make such idiotic comments!" Chaya said in an even more irritated tone then before.
"So now what do we do?" Sanaya asked.
"Well to lighten things up, let's go to my house and I'll make cookies!" Roshan exclaimed.
"I thought you ran out of cookie dough?" Chaya asked.
"Well I bought four bags this time!" Roshan retorted. "Come now!"
Inside the room, Sagar watched as Bhoomi laid on the bed, taking rest. He sat by her side on a chair and looked at her shoulder, which was now bandaged up. Sagar grabbed hold of Bhoomi's hand and said, "I'm sorry, Bhoomi. I really am."
At Roshan's house, Krish, Chaya, and Sanaya sat in the living room of the house while Roshan was baking cookies in the kitchen. "So two partnerships have a shard each!" Krish exclaimed. "Awesome!"
"Yeah. But we still have ninety eight prism shards out there to collect." Chaya reminded.
"Must you always be so negative!" Krish rolled his eyes.
"But Chaya has a point. Its still a long road till all the prism shards are collected." Sanaya said.
"Yeah! But watch me become the next ruler of Ekta!" Krish smirked.
"You mean you wouldn't rule along with Chaya?" Sanaya asked Krish.
"Are your serious?!" Krish asked. "Do you really think I'd rule along with this manbeater here?!"
"Please! Try and get hold of the throne!" Chaya retorted. "Remember we would have to battle each other for it! And you know I would take you out in a split second."
"Are you saying you would rule with Roshan if you both win?!" Krish asked Sanaya.
"Well...I mean," Sanaya mumbled. "You see-"
"OH THE ATROCITY!" Roshan cried as he entered the living room, holding a tray of cookies.
"What happened?" Chaya asked, rolling her eyes.
"THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A BATCH OF TWENTY FOUR COOKIES! BUT TWO OF THEM MERGED AND NOW ITS UNEVEN!" Roshan cried.
"You want to rule with that guy?!" Krish asked Sanaya.
"On second thought, I pass." Sanaya said, nodding her head.
"Forget the cookies then." Chaya said.
"HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT?!" Roshan screamed. "YOU KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE COOKIES! AND NOW THEY'RE UNEVEN!"
Krish rolled his eyes and then got up from his seat, going right up to Roshan. He then took a cookie from the tray and took a bite out of it. "There! Now its even!" Krish said as he then turned around. "Problem solved!" Just then, at that moment, Krish's elbow accidentally pushed aside the vase that was sitting on the table, and made it smash to the ground in several pieces. There was a moment of silence as Roshan whimpered at the sight of the broken vase. "NOW LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE!" Roshan screamed. "THAT WAS AN EXCLUSIVE SCULPTURE BY ANTOINE FERNANDEZ!"
"You idiot." Chaya told Krish, shaking her head.
"AND WHAT'S EVEN WORSE!" Roshan whined. "YOU BROKE IT INTO THIRTY SEVEN PIECES! AN UNEVEN NUMBER!"
"You expect me to be in control of how many pieces I break a vase into?!" Krish retorted.
"How about be more in control of gravity so you don't break anything in the first place." said Chaya.
Before more bickering could commence, a portal emerged from the wall of the living room. "Why does he always open portals in my house?!" Roshan shouted. "It brings dust onto the floor!"
"Would you shut up already?!" Chaya told off Roshan in an annoyed voice. "Obviously its something important. We should go now."
And so, Roshan, Sanaya, Krish, and Chaya all entered into the portal and were then transferred into the chamber of Master Suri's tower. Master Suri stood before them, touching what appeared to be a crystal ball on the table. "Master Suri...since when were you into fortune telling?!" Krish exclaimed.
"Since never. This crystal ball isn't for fortune telling." Master Suri replied.
"So why'd you call us?" Sanaya asked.
"Where are Sagar and Bhoomi?" Master Suri asked.
"Sagar is staying with Bhoomi at the clinic till she gets better." Chaya replied.
"That's good. She needs rest," Master Suri said. "I called you all for another round of shard hunting."
"Whose the target this time?" Roshan asked.
Master Suri then tapped the crystal ball. The crystal ball gave off a bright yellow glow and once it faded it revealed the image of a brightly lit city. "You'll find the target in Sector Damini right in this city area." Master Suri answered.
"Shouldn't you show us who the actual target is?!" Krish asked.
"Thats a challenge for you to figure out," Master Suri smirked. "As members of the Spectrum, I can't make things completely easy for you."
"Man!" Krish whined.
"Well luckily were going to the sector where my powers can kick in!" Roshan exclaimed.
"If he sees anything uneven, he'll probably tear up the whole sector." Chaya whispered to Sanaya to which she giggled.
Later on, Krish, Chaya, Roshan, and Sanaya were on their way to Sector Damini. They made their way with the use of Chaya's dark energy disc for a ride. "Could you steer this thing any fatser?!" Roshan asked Chaya with an impatient tone.
"Maybe if you'd sit quietly and shut up, then maybe I could get us there faster." Chaya retorted with an equally frustrated tone.
"It doesn't matter. Were almost near Sector Damini anyway." Sanaya replied.
"How do you know?" Krish asked Sanaya.
"Well since I'm from this world, I can sense the prescence of the sectors when nearby." Sanaya replied.
In a matter of moments, the foursome had landed in Sector Damini, the land of lightning. And the name was suiting as the land was filled with several lights within their city walls and towns. "Why must it be so bright in this city?" Chaya asked.
"Well it has to go with the name, Chaya." Sanaya replied.
"I like it! My powers will obviously do well here!" Roshan exclaimed.
"Now where do we find the prism shard?!" Krish asked.
"We should be able to sense its prescence like Sagar could," said Chaya. "We should go look around."
"Speaking of Sagar, I hope him and Bhoomi are doing all right." Sanaya said.
On the other hand, back on Earth, Sagar was watching over Bhoomi as she took rest in her room at the clinic. He held her hand as he looked upon her unconscious face. "This was my mistake," Sagar said. "If anything else had happened, I would probably never forgive myself."
Just then, the nurse entered the room, startling Sagar. "Its okay. I'm just bringing some food for her for when she wakes up," the nurse said as she placed a tray of food on the table beside Bhoomi. "You can feed her when she gets up."
"Um...yes. Thank you." Sagar replied.
"How sweet! I don't think I've seen such a loving husband before!" the nurse exclaimed.
"What? Oh...um," Sagar mumbled as his face turned pink. "Actually were not-"
But before Sagar could finish his sentence, the nurse had already left. Sagar then felt a movement in Bhoomi's hand. He looked down to see she woken up. "Bhoomi, you're awake." said Sagar. Without saying a word, Bhoomi tried to sit up on her own. But Sagar went ahead and helped her sit up, holding her by her shoulders saying, "Take it easy."
Bhoomi kept quiet. Sagar was confused. Bhoomi had this look like she didn't feel like talking. "What's wrong?" Sagar asked Bhoomi.
"I'm sorry."
"Sorry? For what? If anyone should be sorry, its me."
"No, Sagar. I know I shouldn't have gotten in the way. But I guess I was only thinking for your sake."
"What do you mean?"
"You're stronger than me, Sagar. We all know that. And if Vardhan had killed you, I would've been helpless. Besides, I always seem to slow you down. So I thought a simple sacrifice from my side would be okay."
"Don't say that! There's no reason for you to sacrifice your life for me! What I did was pure selfishness. I wanted to take him down on my own. I forgot that you're my partner. And if the others didn't come in, we both would've been goners."
"They came in?"
"Yes. Its because of them that were alive. We were able to get two of Vardhan's prism shards. But I felt I wasn't deserving of them because of the danger I put us both in. Hence, I gave each one to them."
"I see. So we're behind now."
"That shouldn't be our worry now. We have time till we can recover from this. What matters now is that you get better."
Bhoomi smiled. She then leaned over to the tray of food to which Sagar took from the table. "Don't worry. I can feed myself." Bhoomi said.
"You need to rest. Besides, the nurse told me to." Sagar said as he took a spoonful of rice from the tray and leaned it towards Bhoomi. Bhoomi nodded and ate the rice as Sagar continued to feed her.
"Where are the others?" Bhoomi asked.
"I don't know," Sagar replied. "Wherever they are, they're probably fine."
"AHHH!" Roshan screamed in terror. Krish, Chaya, Roshan, and Sanaya were all in the center of Sector Damini near the Fountain of Light. As the foursome looked around for the prism shard, Roshan had screamed at the sight of the fountain. "What's wrong?!" Sanaya asked Roshan, concerned.
"The fountain is spraying water in three directions!" Roshan cried. Chaya, Krish, and Sanaya fell to the ground with a thud in disbelief. "You have got to be kidding me!" Chaya exclaimed. "I thought the enemy is approaching us, you moron!"
"BUT ITS UNEVEN!" Roshan whimpered.
"Who cares?! Its freaking water, man!" Krish shouted.
"Nothing should be uneven in my city!" Roshan pouted.
"What are you?! The mayor that declares that everything in the city has to be even?!" Chaya retorted.
Suddenly, Sanaya turned straight into the city streets. The others looked at her, confused. "What's wrong, Sanaya?" Chaya asked. "And please tell me something is ACTUALLY wrong!"
"I sense something coming straight into the city." Sanaya replied.
"Then we must have a lead." Chaya said.
"Well what are we waiting for?!" Krish asked. "Let's get that prism shard!"
And so, the Spectrum took off straight into the city with Sanaya taking the lead with the senses she had kicking in. As they continued to travel, they stopped once Sanaya stopped before a small, eerie looking home. What else was strange about the home was that there was a strong pinkish glow coming from within inside the house.
"This is it." Sanaya said.
"Weird house. And what's with the lights?!" Krish asked. "Is there a disco going on in there?!"
"If there is, I can't go! I left my disco pants at home!" Roshan exclaimed.
"This is no time to be talking about disco, morons," Chaya said in an irritated tone. "We're on a mission. We need to find the one with the prism shard and take it!"
"Right. Let's check around the premises." Sanaya told the others.
And so, Krish, Chaya, Roshan, and Sanaya entered into the land of the eerie home. They made their way around the house and jumped upward onto the windows of the home. They looked through the window into what appeared to be an empty room. Krish opened the window and the four entered inside the room, looking around. It appeared to be someone's bedroom with a bright pink interior to it. "This room looks like its been puked on by Pepto Bismol." Chaya said as she looked at the room with disgust at the color.
"Says the girl who likes emo colors!" Krish whispered to Roshan. Chaya smacked Krish on the back of his head. "I can hear, moron." Chaya said irritated.
"So one thing's clear. This house belongs to a girl." Sanaya said.
"A very organized girl! Everything is perfectly even!" Roshan exclaimed.
"Do you hear something?" Chaya asked.
The foursome kept quiet as they heard the sound of humming coming from outside the room. "I hear it. Wonder where its coming from." said Sanaya.
"Only one way to find out," said Chaya. "Let's check it out." And so, Krish, Chaya, Roshan, and Sanaya made their way out of the room and tiptoed into the hallway. They then looked down over the staircase railings and were astonished at what they saw. A young woman was throwing things into a large magenta colored cauldron that created a pink glow. The girl had a pointy black hat on and wore a ruffled black dress with lacey pink sleeves and black boots and had long black hair that had pink streaks on it.
"She's the one with the prism shard." Sanaya pointed out.
"This girl?" Chaya asked.
"Wow! She's pretty!" Krish exclaimed.
Chaya smacked Krish on his head again. "You moron!" Chaya shook her head. Just then, the woman turned to see the foursome standing by the railings. She smirked, "Well, well! Look who we have here! A couple of trespassers!"
"And our cover is blown." said Roshan.
"Who are you and what are you exactly doing here?!" Chaya asked the woman.
"I should be asking you that since you are in MY house!" the woman exclaimed. "But no matter! My name is Raima. What is it your here for?!"
"Were here for the prism shard that you have!" Sanaya replied.
"Oh!" the woman exclaimed. She then drew out a necklace that was tucked in her dress, which had the prism shard attached to it. "You mean this prism shard?!"
"Yes! And we're taking it." said Chaya.
"So much power this shard has. It really does enhance my own magic. So good luck trying to get it from me," Raima grinned. "After all, it won't be a piece of cake for you!"
"We'll see about that! Even if you are really pretty!" Krish exclaimed.
Krish then jumped off the railings and launched a fireball attack directly at Raima. "A fire boy! Just what I need!" Raima smirked. As the fireball came towards her, she brushed it aside into her cauldron. "Let's see how you manage against this!"
With the wick of her finger, Raima launched what appeared to be a heart shaped bubble which hit Krish directly in the face. "What was that?!" Sanaya asked as she, Roshan, and Chaya looked on in shock. Krish fell to the floor with a thud. Once he got up, he appeared to be lovestruck. "Oh my angel!" Krish exclaimed as he looked at Raima.
"Very good. Now come to me!" Raima ordered Krish. And as told, Krish came right by Raima.
"What the hell?!" Chaya said annoyed. "Why's he on her side all of a sudden?!"
"Its some kind of witchcraft!" Sanaya exclaimed.
"Well I'll put a stop to it!" Roshan exclaimed as he then jumped off the railings.
Once Roshan was about to attack, Raima launched another heart shaped bubble that hit Roshan directly. And once he was struck, he too looked smitten by Raima. "Come here you sweet boy!" Raima smiled at Roshan.
"Anything for you, darling!" Roshan exclaimed as he dashed off next to Raima.
"What's going on?! Now they're both with her!" Sanaya exclaimed.
"You girls must not know too much about witchcraft," Raima grinned evilly. "All I did was what I called a sweet kiss spell. Once it strikes my target, they instantly become attracted to me and do whatever I tell them."
"That's a dirty trick, you scum!" Chaya shouted.
"Watch your language. Or I can do even worse things to you two." Raima said.
"Whatever!" Chaya yelled. "I'm taking that shard whether you like it or not!"
"Really?!" Raima asked. "Let's see what my darling boys have to say about it. Attack them now!"
Krish and Roshan nodded. Krish launched a fireball attack while Roshan launched a thunderstorm attack and both attacks hit Chaya and Sanaya directly. The force of the attacks made the two crash out from the house, landing outside of the gates of the home. Raima smiled with victory. "That went well. Now boys, I hope you two will be of use to me," Raima told a possessed Roshan and Krish. "While I continue with work, why don't you two fix the roof for me?"
"Yes, our true love." Krish and Roshan bowed as they then went ahead up the stairs. Raima then walked down the hall, grinning evilly.
Outside, Chaya and Sanaya remained on the ground, weakened by the attack. The two slowly got up. "I don't believe this. We miserably lost." said Sanaya.
"And now Krish and Roshan are possessed by that evil witch," Chaya added. "I have no idea what we're going to do now."
"Whatever we do...," Sanaya said as she looked on at Raima's house. "We have to get Krish and Roshan back!"
