Chapter: 12

Ishita wakes up from sleep. She remembers it is her birthday today. She feels sad thinking about it. She thought Raman would wish her first on her birthday but he doesn't even remember me. Ishita gets ready for the day when she opens the cupboard she sees the sari bought by Raman.

She loving caresses it and starts getting ready. When she wears the sari and stands in front of the mirror she feels Raman hands are hugging her tightly from behind her and declaring his love for her unknown to her this was the same thought Raman had when he purchased the sari for her. She then wears the heart pendant with their and kids photo which he bought on the same day, simple earring and a bangle. She looks simple, elegant and beautiful in her own way.

She comes down Toshjii and Simmi have already started making breakfast for everyone. When they see Ishita they ask what the glow that surrounds her today is. Ishita could not explain but Raman bought those things for her with love unconsciously she could feel his love that is the glow that surrounds her even though he had not given the presents in her hand or said anything about it to her before purchasing.

Amma comes there to give prasadam to Ishita and wishes her Ishita takes blessing from her. Amma blesses her to live a long and fulfilled life. Toshjii shouts oye pagal you did not even say to us today was your birthday no problem and wishes her a happy birthday and asks her to take the blessing of Mata Raini today Ishita comes near Toshjii to get her blessings Toshjii blesses her saying all your worries should be gone from your life today. Simmi wishes her.

Ruhi hearing the conversation runs to wake her papa. She says she wants to make a surprise for her Ishimaa with the help of Raman they start making a card. Adi comes there and sees both Ruhi and his papa are working with concentration on something he comes near them and asks what are they doing? Ruhi replies they are making a card for Ishimaa for her birthday. Adi asks can I join. Ruhi says sure. They three make a card. Raman draws stick figure of Ishita holding Ruhi hands and Ruhi holding Adi hands. On Ruhi insistence Raman draws himself holding Adi hands on the other side. They color the picture and write "Happy Birthday Ishimaa" on the card. Ruhi and Adi sign their name. Ruhi asks Raman to sign first he refuses then he signs it with "Ravan Kumar" because that is the name she gave him and he likes it.

Once they finished the card Raman asked the kids to give her the card. Ruhi is adamant that her papa has to wish her Ishimaa and drags Raman along with her and Adi. They come to the kitchen were everyone is Ruhi proudly produces the card and hugs her Ishimaa wishing her "Happy Birthday" Adi also hugs and wishes her. Ishita is overwhelmed by their action and cries Raman does not like her crying he wants to take her in hug and wipe those tears he gets uncomfortable thinking why he is feeling this protective towards her. Ruhi asks her to open the card and see inside what Ishita saw there makes her day and she hugs both the kids tightly and thanks them. Ruhi says papa also helped and nudges him to wish her. Raman says to her have a wonderful birthday "Jhansi ki Rani" with that he starts moving Ishita calls him back and thanks him that her day is extra special with their love and starts crying and thanking the kids once again taking them in hug.

Raman becomes uncomfortable seeing her cry again his hand starts to reach to comfort her but he controls it then he notices Ishita eyes which are filled with love for him and his kids. He also notices her sari which is simple but suits her nature suddenly a memory of him buying the sari comes to his mind. He is thinking why did he buy this sari for her and why is she wearing it on her birthday? What is my relationship with her? Thinking these questions he moves away. Once he reaches near the stairs he turns again to see her smile and talk with the kids. He feels fulfilled to see her smile and starts towards his room to get ready for his day thinking about Ishita.
