His thumb traced her lips and she started to tremble, opening her mouth slightly. He leaned closer to her and she could feel his heart hammering just as hard as hers was.
She could feel his lips just an inch away from hers, close enough to tease her, to make her body ache with longing for him.
He removed his thumb from her lips and slid his fingers up her cheek as he placed his lips over hers ever so softly in the form of a gentle kiss. She hadn't seen him lick his lips, but he had... his lips were wet against her dry ones, and this turned her on more than anything else.
She opened her mouth and he followed suit, tackling her tongue with his. He was quenching her thirst in a far more desirable way than drinking water would have done.
When he pulled away from her, both of them panting for air, he looked at her lovingly, and her eyes filled with tears again, missing the way he looked at her. He loved her a lot, and she knew that. His whole being was proof of that... but there were certain misunderstandings between them that stood in the way of their union, and Sanyukta was confident that they would be able to overcome all that. But for that she needed to have some patience.
He looked at her, his loving expression changing to one of shock, as if it just hit him what he had done.
"Go drink water," he told her darkly, letting go of her, and looking anywhere but at her. "Then go to your room. I don't want to see you again tonight."
She let the teardrops fall out of her eyes one by one as she smiled at him, because she knew what was in his heart. Or perhaps she was crazy. Maybe both... but if she was crazy, she knew she was crazy about him.
"Okay," she told him, smiling through her tears.
She wiped her tears with her fingers, her bangles clinking at her movement, before she turned around to walk down the stairs, her anklets noisily ringing behind her.
Randhir watched her go, wanting nothing more than to go after her and hold her tight. But he had to control himself... he was supposed to hate her, not love her. He couldn't lose control. Not when he had to make her life miserable.
As Sanyukta drank her glass of water, she smiled mischievously, because one good thing had come out of this... she knew which room was Randhir's, and whether he liked it or not, it was where she was going to end up tonight.
No way was she going to spend her wedding night alone.
