Anandi succeeded in preventing the child marriage but she risked little Nandini.

Inspite of the work of social workers, the evil still persists.

Comparing what Shiv did with terrorist and what Anandi did with the child marriage is not fair. If Shiv got information about terrorist and went expressly to stop him then the situation would be somewhat similar. All those heroics were as usual serial practices - but an ordinary person taking on terrorist in view of the situation he was put in is commendable - many in real life had done so. Anandi's intentions were commendable too. But all these years fighting this evil should have made her more cautious. For one she knows that the situation may go out of hand and also the marriage even if performed has no legal sanction and can be annulled easily. Therefore, there was no need to rush to the venue with a sick infant in her hands. True - the mother of would be bride was desperate - but as a social worker, Anandi could have made her understand the futility of going without police force and also the importance of taking safety measures and most importantly - the marriage even if completed would not change anything because it can be annulled.

I could not hear whether the lady informed why she was not with the child and how she knew that the marriage is going to happen? If she knew her in-laws are such orthodox people - how she believed that just her going there wills stop the marriage?

That lady was insensitive and I would not have helped such ones. She knew that the small infant was sick and yet she emotionally blackmailed a vulnerable woman into accompanying her to the venue as if her going would stop them from doing what they wanted to do. Suppose if the police did not come in time, what would have happened? Usually police has other duties as well than stopping child marriages only. The CVs create such unrealistic situations and unsympathetic characters out of the blue. When Shiv was there, the situation was different. The police force was under him.

What Anandi did is commendable and extra-ordinary as a social worker.
But it can't be denied that her little princess would have to pay the price for it.
Nandini was sick as well, and needed rest and medication. So Anandi should have first left her daughter in safe hands. One can imagine worst things that could have happened to Nandini than child marriage as she is dealing with cut throat fundamentalists.
