I agree with bruno's point too ... when one sings well, he/she tends to naturally enjoy his/her own singing which automatically contributes to his/her performance. Another fine example is when Amit sang Doorie or Pehla Nasha ... he sways with the rhythm of the song and although this doesnt distract from his singing because he enjoys the song ... the performance comes naturally .. and thats what should be .. it shouldnt distract nor be 50-50 but rather ... it should add and be a part of your singing without the audience's attention/mindset being lost in your movements. The magic is when the audience listens to your song/voice and is so captured that they forget about your body language and yet you succeed to give a remarkable performance. I hope that makes sense!

well, i believe II is a hun for a pop star rather than a playback.SVOI and SRGMP are the ideal for playback.

There should be a performance definetly but that doesnt mean that your singing cuts down.Alisha herself is a pop star and owns a great voice and does fantastic singing!there areso many other indipop stars , so do you think they dont sing?

Emon's line of 100% singing and 50% was true.It is difficult to perform while singing but performance isnt just dancing! Its a trick to make the audience have fun , enjoy and have a break!! When someone sings great we find it better to close our eyes and dwell in the singing but its so good to watch a person perform and sing at the same time!

All i ment to say is there should be both but of course your singing is the ultimate key.

i don't agree with Ankita at all. She actually contradicted her own performances when she said it should all come naturally. so the tree just grew naturally for her on set overnight for her babuji dheere chalna performance. 😆 i agree w/ what Deeps said in her interview after she got voted out which they showed in Roobaroo...Ankita should learn how to take concrete criticism and use it to her advantage instead of keeping herself away from the rest of the contestants. the only reason why I think if any of the others are upset with her is because she asks them what she did wrong in her performance and then claims she feels left out. She shouldn't ask for criticism if she takes it to heart.

lol😆. The tree growing naturally comment was funny. Ankita's performances are practiced and so is everyone else's. There are exclusive videos on the Indian Idol site of them rehearsing. I've seen Deepali's, Chang'sand Ankita's. Though I think Amit, Emon and Puja keep it natural nowdays.
