Can You Tell Ne How Many Hits Akshay Kumar Salman Khan Shahrukh Khan And Aamir Khan Have In There Whole Career Till Now?

Q. Badlpur looks a low cost film compare to likes of Baby, Tevar and Roy so can it be a plus film as promos look interesting?

Ans. Its still a 25 crore film and it has to recover at least 75% of that from India theatrical as other revenue sources will not have much revenue. The film will be more about appreciation and holding at the box office for two or three weeks. If these types can't sustain from Monday then there is no point in making them as they are not going to take big starts.

Q. Surely the opening of Roy cant be down to Ranbir Kapoor as most will know that he has a guest role?

Ans. That is correct but he did dominate the theatrical promo so some people would have been enticed. Anyway there is no other reason to explain the start. A Arjun Rampal film will open to 1-2 crore nett and if you add hit music it can take it to 4-5 crore nett, its the star presence which takes to a high level and when merits are bad the outcome is what happened on Monday.

the budget is low so it gives badlapur a decent chance at the BO but it has to trend well from monday

Is that how much Eros paid to Maddock (promotion cost included)? Or it's Maddock's budget?

If the answer is 'yes' for the former question.. then...

They're gonna get from Satellite+Music rights: 12 cr (Assuming)

So, they'd need to make 26 cr from theaters to recover money.

More than 26 cr. = Profit

they hardly did promotions so the landing cost isn't higher than 30cr

they need 50cr to get a clean hit tag assuming they recovered nothing from satellite rights.. if they recovered sth 40-42cr net will be enough to give it a clean hit tag

35-40cr will be semi hit
