Manik-Nandu v/s Manik-Alya: Parallels

There is a major parallel going on with the current MaNan track and the Manik-Alya breakup track...


Eerie similarities...ofcourse starting with the TRUST issue.


1) Manik expected both Alya as well as Nandu to have FAITH in him...in both cases he felt LET DOWN...albeit in different ways, ofcourse...but essentially he felt left down...


The difference: Leaving Alya didn't shatter him...hardly😆...he had Nandu playing on his mind by that time anyways...but leaving Nandu...that has made him retreat into the darkest corners of his soul for now.


2) Both Alya and Nandu said the same thing..."Manik will never forgive me"

In Alya's case, it came true...but Nandu's case is different, no? Always has been as far as Manik is concerned😆


3) Manik was cold to Alya as well and gave her the silent treatment too...he's pulling similar stuff on Nandu right now...how long it will last, we shall see😆


4) The definitions of Love...this has to be mentioned...

For Alya, love was FORGIVENESS since she badly wanted it at that time...

For both Manik and Nandu, Love is TRUST...but it's important to note how differently they view trust in that context...Manik wants blind/absolute trust...he views it as the FOUNDATION of any important relationship...while Nandu views trust as the BINDING factor that HOLDS a relationship together through testing times...she specifically said when speaking about trust in terms of love..."When two people have trust b/w them, they can overcome any challenges together"...and even today this holds true for how she approached this current crisis b/w her and Manik...she hoped that the trust b/w them would help them fight this issue TOGETHER...but for Manik, the very perception is different.


So ultimately something to think about...is love JUST trust? Seems like this time around, MaNan will learn that it just might be MANY parts forgiveness too...there are no absolutes other than the fact that they love each other enough to overcome all odds :-)

i agree with u,its similar in both the cases,manik felt let down,by this trust issue only,lets see how manik deals with this situation!!! bcoz nandu is manik's true love!!!!

Yes, the similarity struck me while watching some old epis...the fact that the dialogues are also pretty much the same in both cases was what made me think of the parallels even more...but ofcourse Manik will realize that all his rules change when it comes to Nandu...all the perceptions he's held true for so long...nothing matters in the end but the fact that he loves her more than everything else...he loves her enough to forgive her.


Only Nandu can bring about forgiveness from Manik...that is where the difference is...that is what Alya couldn't do.

I never thought it that way until you pointed out. And I agree. Except this time, we will have different consequences because this time his feelings are entirely different. He's far more involved. He is in love. And as you said, love is the only constant and it shall conquer all the odds.

I hope they make alya or Manik think back to the similar scenario they went through but this one resulted in an entirely different manner. I want Alya to observe and then relate it to her situation with Manik and realize how he has changed. I know they both already know he has changed and he is in love with Nandini but I still want such a scene. It will make me happy.

he needs to learn love Is not JUST Trust..that too absolute trust..which he expects..it is much more more than that...only trust cannot nurture a relationship..u need to learn to forgive also..else to me now it will look like a one sided relationship..it will be too much burden for one...

and i loved how u explained nandu's perception of TRUST..she expects to fight it together whatever problem a relationship might face..that's the first thing she told when she met him..but he could care less ..coz for him its either complete trust or no trust..trust cannot be built up in a day..it has to face go through all the tribulations ..otherwise he will end up only feeling hurt every time..

Yes, both girls let him down on the all important trust factor...albeit in very different ways but end result was the same for him...he invested himself and then felt betrayed...but as I was just saying above, all his rules change when it comes to Nandu😆


Yes, I wanted to write about Nandu's perception of trust since many days...I feel it's significant and something not often spoken about...it gives context to these often repeated debates of TRUST b/w them...it's very important to note just HOW Nandu views trust...because it tells us a lot about the kind of person she is and how she nurtures a relationship...and it's something Manik has to learn and understand about trust too.


I think it's a beautiful thing...this thought that you can fight all challenges together...as long as you have faith in each other...It takes a lot of courage to forgive and fight for your love against all odds...this courage in Nandu is a trait I've always admired...

Waise toh there are MANY differences😆...but that is the defining difference...Nandu has a place in Manik's heart that Alya toh chhodo, NO ONE ELSE has ever managed to have😆
