Thank you for that wonderful post! You mirror a lot of the sentiments i am sure so many others on the forum are feeling, me included and you write beautifully! I am feeling quite maudlin like you said but your post made me smile so thank you for that. You understand the realities of life so well. The truth that we have to move on weather we like it or not and that there will be better days for everyone involved cast, crew and fans. It's what i have been telling myself all day but its more believable when you hear it from a pragmatic human being and the knowledge that your not alone in all this is comforting to say the least. So here goes to a better tomorrow, love, life, goodwill and happiness for everyone.

Binu...what a lovely post! Sorry to comment so late..I missed this one somehow..don't know how!
A lot of what you say...actually all of it..resonates perfectly with me...I do watch shows..know the stories of most from friends and relatives who watch..but this one was special definitely! I have watched Harshad Chopda before in his earlier shows and so the fact that this was his comeback show was enough for me to look forward to it since I saw the promos. And I was simply blown away by the character in the first week itself! Shivya has been very good...a breath of fresh air as indeed is the character of Arzoo for the most part. And I will unabashedly admit that Sahir was the one ..is the one I love this show and will always love it the most for! Of course SaAz hold a special place in my heart..their story is special. Whatever pitfalls the show faced..the magic was always present and kept us glued!

Whether we praised or ranted..complained or said thanks we never stopped watching! I would like to echo your words of thanks to the entire team for giving us this experience...there were a lot of good moments that we enjoyed and they gave us those..so 👏 To them.

Harshad Chopda...what is there to say that hasn't been said before...Sahir as a character encompassed so many shades ..intense..brooding..pained..lonely...fair...romantic...sensuous...vulnerable...angry...intelligent
...empathetic.
..sensitive..and he excelled at all of them...he really lived the character and each of his emotions...even wordlessly he managed to convey what Sahir was feeling at any point of time...even when he did wrong..we said it was wrong but saw tbe reason...he portrayed Sahir so beautifully! Sad that this character is coming to an end too early...there was so much potential to develop it further...they had laid the base so well..through the worst tracks also the love for this character never reduced...love him hate him you cannot ignore him!

While I did not find Arzoo consistent earlier ..once the SaAz story started and ironically after the show genre was changed I relate to her much better. I love the SaAz equation and how they are always there for each other..in tune with each other's fears and thoughts.! Once tbe past revelation track started Arzoo has really been a rock solid support for Sahir and their interactions are heartwarming..and I want more and more...and am sad that we will not get that!

Yes..I will miss Humsafars terribly and I definitely will not go back to Sony again..having seen their attitude...life moves on and so will we..but I once again echo your sentiment that I am happy to have met so many people I have become good friends with as a result of so passionately watching and discussing Humsafars! I hope we will keep in touch as you all are a very big part of my daily life now. It has been great interacting and sharing views. That sounds so final! No but I will keep posting and replying too as long as the forum is active!

I will miss Sahir, Arzoo,SaAz and Humsafars ...a lot!

Hey no prob Pri... so many posts being made that it is easy to lose track. 😆
Yeah you Vandy Ari and Nadia and many others are major Harshad Chopra fans! 😊 I have not seen any show of his other than this one. And I have to say when I saw him in the promo, my only thoughts were 'wow he is handsome' - no idea whatsoever about the talent he wielded. Shivya / Arzoo has been like you said a breath of fresh air. But Sahir. Sahir Sahir Sahir... what a character! Like you the main reason for me to return to my TV set, day after day to watch Humsafars even when things went really south in Dec and Jan, was Sahir. Loved this male lead. And Harshad Chopra did a great job in communicating Sahir's motives to us, especially when Sahir became rather manic in his obsession with the wadha and deal. We did not agree with what he did but we understood the whys of it.
Arzoo's characterization also suffered during this period. And then there was the whole danger of her becoming money-minded and more Sahir like instead of becoming stronger and more empathetic. Something she has become now. While I wish Arzoo would go to work now... I guess we can put it down to all the stress at home. Anyways am not gonna crib about this. Just grateful for two more weeks of Saaz and Humsafars.
SaaZ is such a lovely creation. Not picture perfect but so passionate and made-for-each-other.
And yes I too look forward to staying in touch.
Thanks for replying. 😊😊

Dear Binu,

As I said it earlier to you, I loved every bit of your 'Thank You Note'.

It is the voice of all fans, which tracked the show very closely and fell in love with Sahir and Arzoo. Personally, I do not watch Indian TV dramas, and Humsafars hit me by surprise. One evening came from work and this show was on, the scene where Sahir is annoyed by Arzoo in airplane. Right there, I felt that this show is very much different from what I had been hearing about, most of my life, "Saas-Bahu", "Shadi-Barbaadi", as Maddy says. And months later here I am, writing on different platforms, forums, and social media merely showing my support and defending the very thing I loved very much.

In other words, I agree that the show needed more time to develop. Most of us may not have the experience of working on TV dramas, or movies, but know how to appreciate a well written character such as Sahir Azim Chaudhary. I did not know Harshad Chopda before Humsafars, as I said I don't watch any TV dramas, however, Chopda's performance as Sahir has stolen many hearts including mine.

I now not only believe that Harshad will be a super star one day, also will continue to support him, as his die-hard fan. For the reasons being, he is unique and well-mannered actor, (down to earth, humble, hardworking, cheerful spirit and not to mention very handsome).

Likewise, Shivya Pathania, an exceptional beauty, whose resemblance reminds me of Nargis Dutt. Shivya's performance as Arzoo too was loved by many and will have a bright career ahead without a doubt.

HarShiv chemistry was what made this show popular among millions of fans overseas, and we will love them and cherish them always. They are 'Harry and Sally' of India.

To conclude, I, like many fans out there, hope secretly to see our SaAz Jodi' again wether be it on small or large screen.

Beautiful post Binu 👏 You have summed up everything to the point
I don't know how we will manage once the show goes off air. I hate Sony for not giving this serial the chance it deserves.
