I could not relate to that as Sahir ... even if he was like that in college i expect some maturity now they should have used an intense song with lesser instruments so that it looked more real
But yes HC was adorable as always ... i loved his expressions ... specially after the initial few seconds
I totally get what you are saying - it was unreal and even a bit OTT but I think that was the intention! Firstly, they wanted to reveal a very different side of Sahir in a very short time. In fact, Sahir knows it too that it is unreal. If you notice, he thinks of the guitar and then hesitates for a few moments before asking Arzoo to come with him. Then again, he hesitates a few moments before asking her to wait outside while he gets the guitar. Then for a third time, a little after he starts singing, he gives her an intense look - which to me meant three things (as always HC's looks do ) - firstly, he beckons her to come and join him, secondly he is trying to gauge if Arzoo is liking and approving this Sahir - he still has the fear of rejection somewhere - because Zeenat had rejected that Sahir; and finally he is thinking/acknowledging how much Arzoo is doing for him - for his happiness (which he too thinks is going back to his old self) and the extent to which she has succeeded. When he see she is happy too and then she comes and sits next to him, he goes all out. So, this little moment was meant to be a very different part of their story - something totally unlike Sahir and our intense Sahir is always there but this is a 'gift' that he is giving her. They chose this song too because it is strong with all the jhankar beats, etc and conveys a free sense of enjoyment. Sahir is letting his hair down totally for once and he is very happy - this was the easiest way for the CVs to show that (not necessarily the best way). Harneet has mentioned that they will make sure the audience enjoys the show till the last episode and this was just meant to send a strong message that SaAz are enjoying and they hoped the audience would enjoy too! They will surely bring back our Sahir today and close the loops - at least as many as they can.
