A state-level cricket player, Karnesh was keen to pursue the gentleman's game, but ended up joining the Merchant Navy. However, Anushka's Bollywood aspirations soon rubbed off on him and now he looks after all the administrative work of the production house.

Some other actresses' brothers are also learning the ropes of filmmaking. Parineeti Chopra's brother Sahaj recently worked as an assistant director in Habib Faisal's film, 'Daawat-e-Ishq' (2014), which featured her opposite Aditya Roy Kapur.

As Parineeti had worked with Habib in 'Ishaqzaade' (2012), there seemed to be a comfort factor. She felt Habib's sets would be the ideal learning ground for Sahaj, who called it a fulfilling experience. Sahaj eventually wants to become a full-fledged filmmaker and with his sister among the most sought after names in the industry, he must be hoping to find bigger opportunities.

As part of the Chopra clan's presence in Bollywood, Priyanka Chopra's restaurateur brother Siddharth plans to get into production with television shows. Priyanka has launched her own production house, under which she will be producing her first film 'Madamji' with Madhur Bhadarkar. Apparently, it was PC who persuaded her brother to pursue his filmi dreams. We hear Siddharth is keen to remake some American TV shows and with Piggy Chops inking a deal with a US television network, this could be the first step.

Helping hand
There was buzz in 2013 that Sonakshi Sinha's brother Kush would direct her in a film to revive their father Shatrughun Sinha's film banner. Kush and his twin Luv were both interested in acting at one point of time, but then the former veered towards production. There was also speculation about Kush planning to remake international sitcoms in Hindi.

Mallika Sherawat's brother, Vikram Lamba, was one of the producers of her 2010 film, 'Hisss'. He not only manages her work, but is also said to be protective about her. On the sets of 'Hisss', he had apparently blasted the crew for making Mallika wear a flimsy bikini though the actress herself had no qualms about it.
