Stepping in for Manz, guys.
Kokila is walking along the bank and overhears two women putting stones ontop of each other. The elder of the woman explains the significance of the stones and of placing them one on top of the other. Gopi come along and says that Ahem has arranged for the money. Kokila grabs Gopi by the hand and takes her to sit by the bank. She explains about the stones, placing one stone atop the other for the sake of family. Gopi follows her lead and they both build a small tower of stones, each declaring their hopes and wish for the family. Together they pray.
They walk towards the temple. The beggar woman is sitting on the steps accepting money. As Gopi walks by the baby in her sleep, grabs the corner of the pallu. Gopi gently frees herself and is going to caress the baby but the beggar woman shows attitude and Gopi moves away. She joins Kokila. Ahem comes along with the money, gives it to Gopi and tells her to take care. You can tell he is not happy. With the whole thing. Kokila tells them that they must be on their guard. That once they have Rashi, Radha is no longer their responsibility but the laws'. The agree. However Gopi is not going alone. The family are shadowing her.
Gopi arrives at the banks of the lake and picks Radha's call. Radha tells her that she will give Rashi to her and not to worry. As long as the money is there. The family are hiding and spy on the events. Ahem is using binoculars and can see Radha. Radha says that she will send the child in the boat. Gopi protests but Radha retorts that she is calling the shots. I think the police are also shown nearby skulking.
The money is put in one of the boats and Radha puts a bundle in a wicker basket and sends it on its way. The boats reach the other side. Gopi lifts the top of the basket. Meanwhile Radha picks up the money, pleased with herself. Gopi discovers that there is a doll in place of the baby. Kokila is hiding in the boat on the other side and stealthily gets up behind Radha. Gopi screams out that Radha has swindled them. Rashi is not there.
Kokila grabs Radha and demands to know the whereabouts of her grand daughter. Chaos resumes on the other side as Ahem runs across the bridge, Paridi runs to Jigar, Jigar runs God knows where and Gopi pleads with the boatman to take the boat back and that the woman who sent him is a fraud and has kidnapped a child from their house. On hearing this he co operates and takes the boat back.
Kokila is still holding on to Radha and slaps her demanding to know the whereabouts of Rashi. Radha reveals that she doesn't know. Kokila is shocked but gathers herself to slap Radha again but Radha grabs hold of her hand, bites her and pushes her to the ground. Kokila loses her footing and suffers a minor wound to her forehead. Radha then takes the opportunity to injure Kokila more by picking up a length of wood and goes to strike her with it. She stops midway. Between her and Kokila a snake appears and Radha drops the money and stick and runs off. The family arrive and tend to Kokila. The police go after Radha. Kokila reveals that Radha has lost Rashi. Paridi starts again like a broken record. Ahem says that they will take Kokila to have her wounds dressed. Gopi says that as Radha has lost Rashi there is no point chasing Radha. They should find Rashi. Paridi and Jigar go in search of her.
Radha is running and loses the police in the melee.
At the house Papu is talking to Dhawal.. Dhawal asks him how Kinjal is? Kinjal arrives, tells Papu off for using the phone without permission and sends him to play. She then has words with Dhawal. Dhawal says that Papu is his son to which Kinjal says not is -was and tells him to leave them alone. Camera loiters on Dhawal's face.
Radha is wandering the lanes and cursing her luck, Modis and anyone else she can think of. Back at the motel, ahem is having a hissy fit. Gopi then starts again. My fault, blah, blah, blah and she asks Kokila for forgiveness. Kokila consoles her and says she knows how hard it must be for Gopi as it is her sister and cites the parable of Arjun. They all assure Gopi that this is not her fault. Kokila gets really religious her and starts speaking from the scriptures.
Radha is near the temple. She sees the beggar woman with Rashi and goes towards her. The woman sees this and runs up the temple steps with Radha in pursuit. The beggar woman gets away due to some men transporting a heavy idol and come between them. Radha screams to be let through but is not successful. The woman has long gone. Camera ends on Radha's angry face.
Pre cap. The police and Modis are together. Kokila rallies the troops with inspirational religious edicts and the pray. Kokila's speech was almost as emotive as the American President's speech in Independence Day, before they did battle to bring down the aliens. I loved that film! 😆
