Inspector Raina sat in her office, tapping the desk with her fingers with impatience in her mind. As she waited, Officer Aayat and Officer Rahat came into the office, holding down a tied up Sahir whose head was still covered with the same sack Inspector Raina had captured him with. "You wanted him, Raina?" Officer Aayat asked.
"Yes," Inspector Raina replied. "Sit him down."
With great struggle, Officer Aayat and Officer Rahat brought Sahir to the front of Inspector Raina's desk, sitting him in the chair provided. After doing so, Officer Aayat asked, "Now what do we do?"
"You both can go. Go follow the other officers into the Pune area," said Inspector Raina. "I'll deal with him myself."
"Very well. Let us know if you need anything. Be careful. You will be alone here after all." Officer Aayat nodded. The two officers then made their way towards the door.
"Rahat." Inspector Raina called.
"Yes, Raina." Officer Rahat responded, turning around as Officer Aayat had already left.
"Open that window near the door for me." Inspector Raina ordered.
"Why?" Officer Rahat asked.
"I need some fresh air. Just do it." Inspector Raina replied.
Officer Rahat nodded and opened the window of the office. After doing so, he left the office, closing the doors. Inspector Raina then turned to a tied up Sahir. She removed the sack off his head, revealing his furious face. "How dare you bring me to the police station?!" Sahir yelled. "What is the meaning of this, you witch!"
Inspector Raina then slapped Sahir across the face, silencing him. She looked at him with cold, venomous eyes. "You arrogant piece of scum," said Inspector Raina. "The one who asks the questions in this office is me. And the one who answers is the low life criminal...that's you. So quietly listen to me and you may stay alive."
"HA!" Sahir cackled. "You really think you can get answers out of me?! I'm not an incompetent fool like-"
"Like who?" Inspector Raina asked.
Sahir then kept silent, looking away from the cold inspector. Inspector Raina smirked, looking at Sahir's reaction. She then stood up and walked away from her desk, walking around Sahir. "Let me make one thing clear," said Inspector Raina as she walked around, circling Sahir. "I can make things easy or hard for you. All depends on how you cooperate. I know...you're part of the Killers Society. And from what I see, you seem to be a top killer. But not the best I guess. That's why the cocky attitude of yours. I've been watching your moves for a while and I've noticed one thing that speaks volumes to you. Money. Is that right?"
"What's your point?!" Sahir asked, annoyed.
"The point is...," Inspector Raina started as she came back to her desk. "I can do what no other officer has done. And that is...strike a deal with a criminal."
"HA! For a woman in the police force, you're quite shady!" Sahir grinned. "How interesting! What deal do you have for me that could possibly get me to talk?!"
"Its simple," Inspector Raina smirked. "You tell me everything about the Killers Society. And I'll make it worth your while."
Sahir looked at Inspector Raina confused. Inspector Raina then drew out a black suitcase from her desk and slammed it on the desk in front of Sahir. She opened it to reveal stacks of money inside. The wads of cash sparked of interest in Sahir's eyes as he looked at the money with a face of hungry greed.
"So...do you wish to start talking?" Inspector Raina asked as she then sat down, closing the suitcase.
"Money speaks my language. Fine then," Sahir snickered. "The Killers Society is run by Raja. He's the man behind everything. I'm just his puppet along with the other two."
"What other two?"
"Kabir and Aryan. Aryan is just a whimp. No one knows why he's in the society! And Kabir...he was the one that stole my glory! You can say I'm on your side as you too probably want him killed. I was going to till you captured me! But its a good thing you did. Because now I've struck gold."
"Anyone else important to the Killers Society?"
"There is one. She joined a while ago. Damini, the supposed black widow. I didn't buy it though! She may be a poser. But she was quite the woman. However, it was clear to me...she has her eyes on Kabir. No one knows why."
"So that's all?"
"Yes. Now I've done my job."
"I see."
"So...since I've told you everything, why don't you just hand me the cash and I'll go as if nothing ever happened."
"Sure. Go ahead and take it."
Inspector Raina pushed the suitcase towards Sahir. Sahir gave an evil grin on his face as he was just about to take it. However, once he grabbed the handle of the suitcase, the sound of a shot erupted in the room. Sahir was struck in his back. And then, another four shots were fired at him from behind. Sahir fell to the ground, dead. His back was shot five times in the back in a straight line. Inspector Raina looked up and smirked to see the one who had shot Sahir. That person had pulled their pistol down, and was dressed in a black cloak.
"A real pity. Greed can really blind someone into stupidity and defeat," Inspector Raina said as she looked at Sahir's dead body. "You didn't get seen by anyone when coming through the window, right?"
"Not at all." the person replied. The person then removed the hood of their cloak. The person was none other than...Damini.
