Roy Set For Biggest Opening Day Of 2015

Roy is set for the biggest opening day of the year with collections set to come in at around the 8.50 crore nett mark. The Akshay Kumar starrer Baby had grossed 7.75 crore nett approx. Roy has below par collections at single screens but multiplexes are good.

The film will struggle to hold these type of figures as its pretty clear that such a opening day figure has come due to the curiousity to see Ranbir Kapoor who has an extended guest role as an Arjun Rampal starrer which the film actually is would struggle to collect even half this figure.

Saturday is Valentines Day but its unlikely that it will give it a boost that has been seen over the past few years. Sunday is the India v Pak match will affect the collections hugely.

😆😆 akshay kumar's star power has become laughable!!!

Biru has more starpower then Akki coz his last 3 filams have opened big then Akki. 😆

Well that isnt surprising much .. 😆 , Ranbir got a 20cr. opening in his last film. Music helped too.

There is Gabbar which will (hopefully) do well. Baby was a different film and just because its an average acc. to the BO, doesn't mean it didn't do good to his career.

And I can't believe people think he needs Sid M. to deliver a hit. Let's wait for Gabbar before ridiculing his star-power.

Not really. The buzz wasn't all that great, it was always meant to be more of a critics movie. Trending on twitter is only because his fandom is huge.. but that doesn't always result in blockbusters.
