Chapter 21

She seemed to think for a moment before she finally said, "Truth."

He didn't know what to ask her, then he decided to go slow with her... he didn't want to scare her off. He did really like the way he felt around her, and according to Parth, she was exactly what he wanted.

"Who's in your family?" he asked.

"Mom... dad... brother," she responded, sounding a little sad. "They aren't around anymore though."

"Why?" Randhir asked, hoping she didn't mean that they passed away.

"One question at a time," she told him. "Truth or dare?"

"Truth," Randhir said.

"Um... who is Sanyukta?" she asked, and Randhir knew that the slip up from earlier probably caused insecurity in her mind.

"Nobody," Randhir simply said. "She's... nobody. She used to be a friend."

"A friend?" Sanu asked him, sounding apprehensive, like she didn't believe him. "Just a friend?"

"Yes... just a friend," Randhir lied.

"Why is she not your friend anymore?" Sanu asked him.

"One question at a time," he reminded her, feeling a little nervous of going into too much detail about Sanyukta. "Truth or dare?"

"Truth..." Sanu replied again.

"How much education do you have?" Randhir asked.

"I have a degree," Sanu replied. "I went to college, I was always among the top two."

Why was she so damn similar to Sanyukta? It was like the universe was making fun of him by bringing a girl who sounded like Sanyukta, whose touch felt like Sanyukta, whose whole life was like Sanyukta, but not Sanyukta herself.

"Truth or dare," she asked him.

"Truth," he replied again.

"So this Sanyukta," Sanu pressed on, "why aren't you two friends again?"

"She wasn't a true friend," Randhir replied. "She betrayed me."

It was the truth. He wasn't even lying this time.

"How?" Sanu asked, and Randhir raised his eyebrow, wondering why she wanted to know so much. But then again, she was about to marry him... some sort of insecurities about other girls had to be there.

"Truth or dare Sanu?" Randhir asked, sounding a little irate.

"Truth..." Sanu said again.

"Have you had any men in your life you were romantically involved with?" he asked.

"There was one boy... in college, he was my best friend and we both liked each other, but he betrayed me..." Sanu told him, and for some reason Randhir didn't like the idea of her already being with someone.

"What do you mean?" Randhir asked, seriously. "Were you two boyfriend and girlfriend?"

"Does it make a difference to you?" Sanu replied. "Whether he was just my friend or he was my boyfriend, does it matter?"

"Yes!" Randhir told her coldly. "It does matter. I don't want to marry a dirty girl."

Chapter 22

Sanu got off his lap immediately, and he could feel how pissed off she was.

"Excuse me?" she asked him, sounding extremely offended. "What do you mean by dirty? Is that how cheap your views are?"

She sounded like she was fuming, and Randhir immediately felt slightly guilty... he didn't even know whether she and that guy did anything and he immediately made her upset.

"Sorry," he responded quickly. "I didn't mean it like that..."

"Have you slept with any girl?" she snapped at him in response.

"What... uh...?" he asked, taken aback.

"Have you or not?" she asked, sounding completely serious.

"I didn't pick truth," Randhir responded, knowing that now he wouldn't pick it at all.

"I don't care... I want to know, have you or not?" Sanu asked, still fuming.

"No... I haven't," he lied. If he answered with the truth, he knew he would be blasted on the spot.

He thought he heard her mutter yeah right under her breath, but it could have just been the way she was breathing.

"Really?" Sanu asked him, sounding like she didn't believe him one bit. "Alright then... let's say I have slept with a guy, that makes me dirty?" she questioned.

"Well... yes... because I haven't slept with a girl and you've slept with someone... how does that look?" Randhir asked her.

"What do you mean how does that look?" Sanu responded angrily. "Who the hell is looking? Are you going to tell the world that your wife slept with guys?" she asked.

His mouth fell open.

"You've slept with guys?" he asked her, sounding horrified. "Meaning not only aren't you a virgin, but you've slept with more than one person?"

He didn't want to marry her anymore.

"I didn't say that," she snapped. "For your information, I am a virgin! And on top of that, I haven't even KISSED a guy."

He let out a sigh of relief.

"Good," he responded.

But she didn't sound particularly excited to be around him anymore.

"This date is over," she responded, and he felt her footsteps walking to the couch, probably trying to pick up her bag.

"What... no! It can't be!" Randhir responded, sounding upset. He didn't get any satisfaction. "Wait... Sanu... I don't know much about you still. I'm sorry, okay? I was wrong."

"I don't like how you think a girl can be considered dirty for sleeping with someone. Are you saying that raped girls are dirty too?" Sanu asked, walking back up to him.

"No way!" Randhir replied. That was not what he meant at all.

"You're a freaking male chauvinist!" Sanu accused.

"No... look Sanu, I'm sorry okay! Girl's aren't dirty if they slept with someone... I take it back," Randhir responded.

"Good," Sanu replied and grabbed his shoulders again, sitting on his lap like she owned him.

Something about her attitude, her anger, her fury, her activist nature reminded him of Sanyukta and he nearly groaned. Why was she haunting him?

"Truth or dare?" Sanu asked him finally.

"Dare..." Randhir murmured, not sure whether he was getting into the right thing by marrying this girl.

"I dare you to call Parth, put your phone on speaker, and talk about Sanyukta without telling him that I'm listening," she dared, making Randhir's heart nearly leap out of his chest.

What the hell had he gotten himself into?

Chapter 23

"Wh - what?" Randhir spluttered.

Sanyukta knew that he was scared. And she knew how Randhir was. She knew him very well. He pissed her off today. He lied. Not just lied, he had no guilty conscience about it too... she always knew he was a MCP, and he was always like this, but something about today just pissed her off.

And now she was going to make him feel bad. She wanted to make him feel so bad, that he would regret what he said. She needed to teach him a lesson.

"You heard me," she told him simply, not allowing herself to soften up at the fear in his voice.

"B - but why?" Randhir asked. "Why don't you trust me?"

"You didn't give me much of a reason to trust you," she replied.

"Okay... Sanu... look... I think... I think maybe it's a good idea to just let this date end, and we'll... I mean, I need time to re-think this marriage," he finally said.

Her heartrate increased. She couldn't let him cancel this marriage, because that would just put all her efforts to waste.

She brought her hand up to cup his cheek softly.

"I'm sorry Randhir," she told him softly, not meaning a word of it. "I'm so sorry. Maybe I did take it too far..."

She felt him relax.

"It's okay. I'm sorry too," he told her.

She wanted to rest her head on his shoulder and close her eyes and just relax with him, but she couldn't... she couldn't allow herself to succumb like that.

"I don't mind if Sanyukta was your ex-girlfriend or if she was nobody," she told him, feeling her heart breaking as she spoke to him. "I shouldn't ask... the past is the past after all, and we're going to make a future together.

She watched him smile and wrap his arms around her waist.

"Yes, you're right," he told her softly. Then he hesitated for a few moments before he spoke. "I don't like to lie..." he finally said. "She was my ex girlfriend. I'm sorry."

She felt her own tense shoulders relax as he said that.

"Why didn't you tell me earlier?" she asked him softly.

"It's because it's a hard topic for me and I didn't want it to cause any problems between us," he admitted. "I really loved her... but now, Sanu I promise you... now I hate her, that's all I feel towards her. I'll give you my undivided attention."

"Hate?" she squeaked, unable to hide the pain in her voice.

"Yeah... I can't forgive her for what she did to me," Randhir told her softly.

"What did she do Randhir?" she asked him, her voice dropping to a whisper.

"I really don't want to talk about it Sanu... does it matter?" he asked her.

"No... if you talk about it, you might feel lighter though," she told him.

"She... she... Sanu, please," Randhir murmured, and she could hear the hurt in his voice. "I don't want to."

"Okay," Sanyukta told him, equally hurt. She squeezed his shoulder comfortingly and succumbed.

She rested her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes as a tear fell. She missed him a lot.

"R - Randhir," she whispered, trying to sound as unlike Sanyukta as possible, which was hard to do... she was surprised he hadn't caught her yet. "I... I... really think that I should give you another dare now."

"Mhm, go ahead," he responded.

"I dare you to... I dare you to kiss me," she finally told him, deciding that she didn't care if he found out who she was... and if the intimacy between them wouldn't show him, then their love may have been more superficial than she thought.

Chapter 24

His hand reached up and touched her cheek softly, causing her to almost shiver.

"You were crying?" he asked her, feeling the wet streak there.

"No... I just got emotional hearing your story," she responded softly. "Randhir... actually the boy in college... he broke my heart too. I was never the same after."

He didn't like the idea of her being with anyone else, that was true, but for some reason he didn't like that she was sad... he felt his heart drop after hearing the tone in her voice.

"Why do you want to kiss me?" he asked her softly. "You haven't kissed anyone before?"

"B - because I... I want to. I want to be able to satisfy you," she responded.

Then he felt her soft lips on his cheek, and his whole body filled up with warmth.

Although he was blindfolded, he still closed his eyes.

He could hear her sharp breaths as her lips got closer and closer to his, and his hand caressed her ear before he slipped it inside her hair.

There was a spark at the moment just before their lips were about to touch. Finally, when their lips touched, a surge of electricity ran up his spine. It was more of a peck and her lips were dry. She moved her lips off his and he licked his lips.

Her hands remained on his shoulder and he could feel her lips approach his again. This time the kiss was deeper, more passionate... it was soft yet full of something, something he couldn't figure out.

He pulled away in a few seconds, and he heard her sniffle. He wiped away her tears and wrapped his arms around her as she rested her head on his shoulder.

"How was it?" she whispered, almost as if she was expecting something from him.

"Nice," he responded, unsure of how else to reply to that.

"Did you... did you sleep with Sanyukta?" she finally asked again.

"Yes," he replied truthfully, deciding that it was better not to lie about it.

"Why did you lie?" she asked, not sounding upset. "I don't like when I'm lied to."

"I didn't want you to leave me," he told her. "For thinking I was a chauvinist."

"It was almost too late for that," she mumbled, and he chuckled softly.

She snuggled up closer to him and he closed his eyes from inside his blindfold... there was something about her that he was slowly falling for. It wasn't just her touch or her attitude, but something else.

He felt her remove her head from his shoulder and kiss him again. He responded back enthusiastically. She opened her mouth and he slipped his tongue inside her mouth. Her tongue responded playfully, and her hand traveled up to his neck, gripping on to him with love.

"Do you want to sleep with me?" she asked after they broke apart.

Did he want to? Of course he did. But he couldn't let himself sound like that was all he wanted to do.

"I want to love you," he whispered.

"Then love me however you like... with the blindfold on," she told him, sounding serious.

On one hand, Sanyukta was desperately trying to see if his love for her was real... if he would recognize her body just by touch and by taste, and on the other hand, Randhir couldn't believe what was happening... he was ecstatic. He was falling for this girl for reasons unknown to him, and she was giving him permission to experience bliss with her.

He couldn't have asked for anything more... except, perhaps for Sanyukta.

Rd didn't like the fact that there was sum one in her life before him

He's finding her similar to sanyu

Sanyu tried so hard to confess him abut her

Bt now i m confused rd says dat sanyu cheated her
N sanyu also said today dat the boy who she loved cheated him

So I m really curious to know what hppnd in the past

The kiss was superb
