Why should Raman take care of Shagun!?!

Shagun and Raman are divorced. Why on earth is he still giving her monthly allowances for her expenditures? Why should he pay her credit card bills?

Even today Raman said, "Uska kahi aur intazam kar deta hum.." ! WHY ????

So what if she's the mother of his kids? Is he going to support 2 wives for the rest of his life ?

Even if Adi leaves the house with Shagun and if Raman stops supporting her, Adi would have to automatically come to Raman because Shagun does not have any money!

Raman can easily win Adi's custody case and completely leave Shagun out of this picture by just NOT giving her any money!

It depends usually courts decide on alimony for ex. So even if husband has remarried he has to pay for child support n alimony as per what has been decided in courts.

In serial its just illogical drama nothing else. 😆

Because she is his lovely ex wife and his GKC's mom ..how could he not care for her...even if she plots aganist his wife or his daughter she has all right to lead a luxurious life in his home as she is and will be most important person in his GKC life aND indirectly in his life too

because Ishita has taken promise from him to give Izzat to shagun as she is mother of his kids and Ishita has indirectly ordered raman to take care of her as she will be always part of raman s life because she is ruhi and adi s mother

It is called alimony dear which the guy has to pay to his wife after divorce if she is unemployed...since there is a kid too the husband has to pay..

I think Raman has already paid Shagun the alimony amount. These monthly expenses are over above the alimony.

In no part of the world, alimony is paid through monthly expenses. It is settled in one go.

Also, there are rules to these alimony. If the wife leaves the husband, then the husband need not pay as much alimony as he would if he left the wife.

In fact, in many parts of world, if the wife is earning more than the husband, then she would have to pay alimony to the husband.

Whatever be the case, alimony is covered in a legal format and it does not cover attending to all demands of your ex-wife.

@bold - Nope Alimony can be paid as monthly expenses but its decided by court - n I agree its not usually for additional expenses like luxury shopping etc. The amount is for basic sustenance of ur Ex n usually decided by both parties in court.

Today they showed Ishita saying that Shagun's mom is taking care of her shopping etc. So maybe CVs want tocreate another MU between Ishra once Ishita knows that Raman is paying for Shagun.

In this case as I said earlier - it is being shown only for drama there is no sense or logic behind it. 😛

In general cases the spouse who is earning more has to pay alimony to the spouse who is earning less, and yes it can be in monthly or yearly increments, whatever the court decides.
