Chapter 17

Randhir didn't feel guilty when he texted Sanu after he got home. Not even a little bit.

He wrote: Hey Sanu : )

He waited for a few minutes, but her reply didn't come. Maybe she was busy doing something. He went into his room and turned on the TV as he changed into sweats and a t-shirt, a small smile on his face.

Today was definitely a surprise... he just didn't know what to expect from life anymore. Seeing Sanyukta after three long years... not just that, her dragging him to her home, and them having sex was something he had never even dreamed of. But, it felt amazing. He knew he still had feelings for her, and denying that would be lying to himself... he did love her. But he also knew that he hated her more than he loved her for what she did to him, and for that he could never forgive her.

The sex with her was amazing though... just as amazing as it had been three years ago. Skin to skin contact with her was something he had missed. Over the years, he had slept with other girls in the hopes of getting over her, but it was never the same. Sex was not a big deal to him. Sex would only be a big deal to him if Sanyukta was committed to him and she was having an illicit affair with somebody else.

Sanu replied to him after what felt like forever: Hi Randhir...

He licked his lips as he smiled... remembering the way Sanu's touch felt. It was familiar... and strangely, it felt similar to Sanyukta's, except Sanu's had been more frantic, a bit more rushed. They both probably just had really soft hands.

He replied: Can we meet up? I want to see you...

Her reply took another few minutes to arrive: Why? You have second thoughts about marrying me?

He was taken aback. Why would she even think that?

He replied right away: No no... just wanted to get to know you.

Sanu replied: Can't do that after marriage?

Randhir raised his eyebrows. He asked Parth to bring him a typical housewife, yes, but that didn't mean she had to be so old-fashioned.

Randhir responded: We could... but I thought it would be nice to go out on a date...

Then after what seemed like forever, she replied: Fine... but it's going to be a blind date.

What did that mean? He was confused.

Randhir wrote: How would that work?

She replied: It means you'll be blindfolded, I'm getting Parth to blindfold you... meet me at Hotel Star tonight at 9 PM. Don't worry, I won't hurt you...

His eyes nearly popped out of their sockets. What on Earth was happening?

He wrote: Are you serious?

She replied: No faith in your to be wife? Trust me Randhir... this'll be the best date of your life.
