Chapter 5B: Fight or Flight

Previously on Wait For You:

"I too, am sorry he dragged you into this..."

Now:

Shaikh drew a revolver from his waistband and aimed at Sakshi. She steadily raised her hands in caution.

"Arre woh toh mera revolver hai, from the war. Tu mujhe apni hi gun se maare ga?" Amar Vimal questioned.

"Haan. Bilkul, I would. Tumhare ghar se, Maine Diwan ki press pass ko snag kiya, sirf isliye ki mein tumhari iss, (with a mocking voice) choti si get-together mein shaamil ho sakoon."

"Tum karne kya chaa rahe ho? Assassinate a sitting Member of Parliament and a federal agent, not to mention also a criminal investigative reporter INSIDE THE GOVERNING PALACE?!"

"Itna bhi bada bewakoof nai hoon main, mohtarma." Shaikh daftly replied. "I'll just make it look HE (gesturing to Vimal) killed you... Phir apne aap ko bhi maardiya."

"Vimal, MOVE!"

Upon instinct, Sakshi knew she had to do something, and fast. Because if she didn't, not only would she not make it out here alive, but the fate of the country would die along with her.

Flashback:

Sakshi waited for the impact and tear of flesh, but it never came. Huh? Cautiously, she tore her hands away from her face and looked all around her surroundings in confusion. It was then that her eyes landed on a still and motionless arrow lying on the ground right in front of her.

"Well what do you know. This thing actually works," Arjun was saying out loud from a distance, and then saw some kind of remote control box-shaped device in his hand. "Maan na parega Shree ko, kaam toh dang se karleta hai."

However, his musings went unheard from the loud conversations going on in Sakshi's mind. "What the - yeh arrow to meri - yeh aise ground par kyun hai, ikdum lifeless?" She looked up at Arjun in front of her, clueless.

"Kyun, tum chahti ho ki yeh arrow tumhare iss chehre ko khraab karde? Vaise I don't mind going for a round two," he raised the remote control in his hand so she could clearly see, "and this time without this remote-control."

Her nostrils flared up, glaring at the man in front of her in a profuse manner. "How dare you! Tum - you were messing with me! Aur agar woh device kaam nai karti toh?"

"Toh accha hota. Kam se kam tumhari shakal toh nai dekhni parti har roz." He retaliated in a smug manner.

"Kyun kiya?"

He stayed silent, then spoke. "I was just testing your reflexes," he shrugged, "which are horrible by the way."

"Tum mujhe itni door taunt karne ke liye laaye ho yahaan?" She defied.

"Tum kabse kaam karne ki baat lagi?" Chalo, akal toh tikhane aagayi isko. Her constant blabbering was seriously giving him a huge headache, and now it was over. For now. "Ab apna yeh chapar chapar band karo, aur chalo mere saath."

"Gladly!" As Arjun started to walk in the other direction deep into the clearing, Sakshi suddenly broke into a trance, finding it hard to catch up. What is he, the Flash? "Vaise, maan na parega. Jis tarha se tumne woh arrow nishana lagaya, matlab mein, matlab ab mujhe pata chalo ki tumhara naam Arjun kyun hai." She broke into bantering, laughter, and blabbing yet again, and all it took was Arjun to just send her one deadly glance as he stopped in his tracks.

She cutely put a finger to her lips, "Samjhaane ki zaroorat nai hain, main samajh gayi."

Good. He rolled his eyes, and continued on walking. Boy, this was going to be a looong weekend alright.

I have read this one already yaar & i absolutely loved it 😃

ryt from the start,every single update had all the elements that a stry should have 😳

be it choree's banter,sakshi's non-stop bakbak,raisha's nok-jok & arjun's mood swings 😆, i absolutely enjoyed every single thing 😃

the best part was the flashback...arjun aimed an arrow at sakshi to stop her blabbering 😲😆

what it was so small
so sakshi ke reflex this time was better then last time when arjun threw arrow at her 😆
now lets see what she does and if arjun reaches her on time
