Common Man Cartoonist R K Laxman died on 26th Jan 2015, he was 94...


Rasipuram Krishnaswami Laxman was born in Mysore, cartoonist, illustrator, and humorist. He is best known for his creation The Common Man and for his daily cartoon strip, "You Said It" in The Times of India...

A salute would not suffice the contribution of this common man to the creatively artistic world and he deserves something more than that. The common man that was his school of thought was a revolution in the Indian Press Community and satirical columns flourished henceforth his invention only. Take a bow sir and have a wonderful afterlife if it really persists.
May his soul RIP...

There was a time when my morning would not start before reading his 'you said it ' in TOI. Kudos to him for giving such wonderful days.
Will always miss his cartoon and humour. 😭 May God bless his soul and my deep condoleneces to his family

He was the greatest cartoonist.There were so many people who brought TOI only for his cartoons.
Still enjoy going through them.
