Priya.. I am guessing here... Sahir probably is an orphan or a maid's son...something like that. Alvira's husband adopted him. Not legally but kind of took care of him... then he probably realized that this guy was more capable than both his sons so gets him married to his daughter Zeenat... and the property transferred to his name and his children after that.

We never saw Alvira openly being affectionate towards Sahir... even when he had been on his knees, crying..

Sayarra and property belongs to Sahir ... he worked hard to earn it all ... am sure ... they didnt have it before else why would zeenat be after money or why would sahir think world runs with money only ... if they were already rich
