I have also read that in some places even marrying mothers sisters children or father's brothers children is allowed.

Haan pearly, in the south, one can marry her mother's brother even ie mama, and in punjabi culture where I have grown in, sisters do marry their kids to each other, but marrying your own chacha's daughter/son is something I haven't heard of ever because you share the same bloodline, its definitely not usual to have two real brothers marrying off their kids to each other.

In the North, we tie Rakhi to all our first cousins from both sides, so they are considered bro-sis. I don't know much about islamic culture, most of my muslim friends have had love marriages so totally unaware of the fact. I do stand corrected but also hope they don;t show the Zee-Sahir relationship like that.

I hope Zee is an adopted daughter or the daughter of Alvira's first hubby or something.
