Tattoo's under-age

Is it allowed/Legal in India to get a Tattoo under the age of 16?

Where I live ...you can get one only after 16 with parents consent and after 18 on your own. a 12 yr old child getting it.,.. not possible here.

In UK where I live one may get a tattoo at the age of 16 with parental consent (written). Still many shops refuse to tattoo anyone under the age of 18. A kid less than 16 won't be allowed to have a tattoo even if both the parents of that kid plead to the tattoo shop owner.

I don't know the Indian rule about it though, I suppose if parents are okay with it, there is no issue.

Logic ka toh baat hi nahi kare! They showed a divorced couple celebrating their anniversary, so a couple of 12-year olds getting a tattoo kya cheez hai...

I don't think the law in India would be too different about tattoos. 16 with parental consent and 18 with ID. But of course in soap land, you can do whatever the hell you want.
