some interesting info.

I have to do the hindu kaals for a hindi project.

so, while i was collecting info. for 1st kaal, this is what i found:

Aadikaal or Veergathakaal:

tha 1st kaal of hindi literature is known as veergathakaal.it was from 1050 AD to 1375 AD.the whole country was divided into small kingdoms.rajput kings were wasting their energy in useless wars.But, in this kaal, hindi literature had become richer.

hindi literature was of 2 kinds in those days:1.prabandhkavya and 2. veergeet.many poets used to express the rajput kings' bravery during wars through poetry.these poems or epics used to be to be known as 'rasos'.From literature's point of view, Chand Bardai's "Prithviraj Raso" is the best epic from this kaal.In this epic, incidents and wars related to his life are described in a brilliant manner.
