Chapter Six

He walked in and out of many stores, not sure of what to get her. He didn't know what Sanu liked or disliked, he didn't know her hobbies, her passions... he didn't know anything about her at all.

Perhaps the rush to get married wasn't such a good idea. But Randhir knew that he shouldn't have thoughts like that, especially since both of them had already agreed to get married. Randhir knew that the one brush of their hands was enough to send electricity down his spine... and that touch seemed like a long lost touch, a touch that felt so comforting, so warm, so familiar... like a faded memory from the past. Except Randhir didn't know what kind of memory that was.

It was probably just his imagination. Her soft hands had sealed the deal for him, enough to make him already start going crazy for her.

He took out his phone and smiled softly to himself as he texted her: if you were at a mall, and you could buy one thing, what would you buy?

He put his phone back in his pocket before walking around the department store. He walked into the aisle with chocolates, and a memory from the past hit him... he remembered that Sanyukta loved chocolates. He remembered the upward curve of her lips whenever he bought her chocolates and flowers. He remembered how he would kiss her senseless, wanting to devour her with every sense he had.

Picking up a pack of Ferraro Rocher (Sanyukta's favourite) from the shelves, he heard his phone beep.

Sanu had replied: Chocolates... Randhir ;) Ferraro Rocher... my favourite... I'm going to get some now.

He watched as a feminine hand beside him extended itself forward to grab another pack of Ferraro Rocher. Moving to the side to give her space, his heart nearly fell out of his chest when he saw Sanyukta Agarwal there, who didn't notice him at all.

Then, slowly she turned around and her eyes widened as she saw him too.
