Tina came running upstairs.
Tina; Veera wo log agaya, veerji unhe lene gye hen.
Amrit; chal Veera hum window se dekhte hen
Amrit pulled her and they stood by the window, but they were unable to see anything from there, they were on the other side and the huge balcony in the middle blocked their view.
Amrit; kuch nhi dikh rha, tera kamra us taraf kyun nhi
Veera sat down and was very nervous
Veera; meri to jaan niqli jaa rahi hai
Tina gave her some water
Tina; pani pee le aur relax kr gehri saans le, sab theek hoga.
Veera took a few sips and then stood up.
Amrit; Veera relax, sab theek hi hoga
Veera nodded.
Downstairs Ranvi, Ratan and Chaiji welcomed Balwant Bansuri and Gunjan
Ranvi; aayi tayaji tayiji
when they were well settled, Ratan gestured to Chaiji
Chaiji; Balwante, Baldev kithe he wo nahi ayega kya?
Balwant; oh Chaiji kesi galan kr rheho uska rishta he wo kese nhi ayega, apne doston ke saath a rha he
Chaiji; changa
Gunjan; chachiji chaiji main ja ke Veera se mil aaon? mujhse raha nahi ja raha
But before they could reply Bansuri spoke
Bansuri; sabar kr puttar, abhi wo neeche ajayegi to mil lena, apne veer ko to ajane de
Gunjan made a face.
Chaiji; Kuch lo na aap log, ye sab kuch Veera ne banaya he
Bansuri; acha? wada kuch bana leti he lagta he
Ranvi; jee tayiji sab kuch bana leti he meri veerakhdi, delhi which oh course kiya tha meri veerakhdi ne
Chaiji; haan aur apne college me pratiyogita bhi jeeti he kai baar usne
Bansuri faked a smile.
Tina was eaves dropping and returned with the news.
Tina; jeeju to abhi tak aye hi nahi, aur Veera teri saas kataq lag rhi he
Veera; tu menu aur mat dara
And then there was a sound of a jeep's breaks, and after a few seconds Ranvi and all heard some footsteps.
Balwant; lagta he baldev agaya
Ranvi, Ratan and Chaiji stood up to welcome him, Tina and Amrit peeked from a upstairs, and called Veera too, they were hiding behind a clothes that were drying.
As the steps got closer Veera's heart beat raced, and just before he entered her heart was beating her chest walls so bad as if it would burst out soon. Veera put a hand on her heart and took a long deep breath.
Baldev walked in, he was in a dark brown kurta with golden embroidery on the collars and neck borders, his hair combed well and shining, the curls perfectly running like long waves of the sea, a huge golden shalwar and brown mojdis, his eyes shining, a smile on his face that was more like a naugty smirk, his shoulders standing perfectly like that of a body builder, his biceps clearly visible from his tight fit kurta, a complete punjabi boy look. Veera's eyes were glued on him, she just couldn't believe that she was so lucky to have him come for her. Veera turned away then and ran back to her room, her cheeks flushed with blood, her heart banging her chest.
Ranvi greeted Baldev and hugged him. Baldev's friends Jaggi and Billa had entered with him too but the girls didn't notice them. Baldev touched chaiji and Ratan's feet and then sat down.
Ranvi; bohot der lag gai
Baldev; wo kya hai na doston ke saath tha raaste me chai peene ruk gye the
Ratan; beta chai to tayar he yahan bhi
Baldev; koi nhi chachiji, me aur mere yaar din me 3-4 baar chai pee lete hen, aap ko mana thodi krenge.
Ratan smiled.
Bansuri; kudi ko bulwa lo Ratan, jise dekhne aye hen wo kab ayegi
Ratan; jee..
Chaiji; me le kr aati hun Veera ko
Chaiji came to Veera's room
Chaiji; chal cheechdi, rasoi se chai ubaal ke le aa
Veera; jee chaiji
Veera went to the kitchen got the tea ready and then accompanying chaiji she went to meet them.
Veera walked with slow steps, she watched her steps and tried to compose herself, her heart was still racing, she reached the place where all sat and keeping the tray n the table she greeted everyone without uttering a word, just a silent namaste, and then she touched the feet of Balwant and Bansuri. She didn't look at Baldev and he was busy on his phone too. Then she gave tea cups to everyone and when it was Baldev's turn she moved the cup towrads him and he saw the cup, he put aside his phone and taking the cup he looked up, their eyes and hands met. And an electric spark moved through Veera's body. For a moment both were disconnected from the world, and lost in each other's eyes. Veera kept staring into his deep dark eyes, trying to reach his heart, and Baldev lost in her big beautiful eyes searching for something. Gunjan saw this and before anyone else could notice she coughed a little. Veera immediately got back to her senses and looked away, Baldev left her hand and then looked at her completely, from her head to toe, his eyes scanned her and she felt awkward.
Bansuri; Veera puttar ithe aa mere paas beth
Veera sat beside Bansuri, Baldev followed her with his eyes, and then moved a little forward to see her because Bansuri was coming in his way.
Bansuri; bht hi soni kudi he teri ratan, acha Veera bta to ghar ke saare kaam krleti ho?
Veera nodded.
Balwant; puttar teri padhai to puri hogai na
Veera nodded again. Jaggi, who was sitting with Baldev whispered
Jaggi; paaji parjai pe latto hogye ho kya
Baldev looked at him irritated.
Baldev; kuch bol kyun nahi rahi ye, gungi to nhi?
Gunjan; beeji papaji aap dono hi baat krte rahoge kya bhabhi se, veerji ko baat krne do na
Balwant; haan puttar, Chaiji Ratan parjaiji agar aap ki ijazat ho to Veera se baldev akele me baat kr skta he kya?
Veera closed her fist, and bit her lip
Ratan; haan kyun nahi, Veera ja Baldev ko hamara ghar dikha ja
Veera nodded and stood up,
Balwant; ja Baldev
Baldev nodded and followed Veera, veera walked slowly, and Baldev followed, as soon as they were out of the elder's site, Baldev came and stood infront of her. He stretched his hand out for her.
Baldev; aap ke sheher me to ese hi milte honge na, hello jee
Veera hesitantly gave her hand to his, the touch again got her goosebumps, he held her hand gently and shaked it. He left it then , Veera was about to put her hands in her hair but she remembered what her friends said and she didn't.
Baldev; Mera naam Baldev Singh hai, mene 10th tak padhai ki hai, uske aage menu shoq nhi tha aur pind me college bhi nahi tha, mera apna transport ka buisness he "Baldev transport company" ke naam se, changa chal raha he, ese hi chalta raha to kuch hi saalon me papaji ko taqar de dunga main, aur aap sawal poochengi to main jawab de paonga na,
Veera looked up and then lowered her eyes.
Baldev leaned a little close and whispered in his husky voice
Baldev; wese aap pe ye rang bht khil rha he, mera man pasand rang he ye
Veera smiled a little.
Baldev; ab aap bhi apna pariche de dijiye na
Veera swallowed hard and tried to find her voice, she some how did and then spoke slowly and softly, her voice barely audible
Veera; main Veera Sampooran Singh, abhi graduation ki hai
Baldev smiled widely.
Baldev; aapki to awaz bhi bht meethi he, phir aap bolti kyun nahi? dekhiye menu to na bht bolne wali bv chahiye jo mera sir kha jaye, ese chup rahengi aap to kese chalega
Veera; jee..me ..
Baldev; acha aap filmen to dekhti hongi, aapka favorite hero konsa he?
Veera; jee..kabhi kabhi dekhti hun, koi bhi favorite nhi
Baldev was shocked
Baldev; sachi main koi nhi ya aap mujhe bna rahi hen
Veera; sachi me koi nhi, mujhe filmy hero pasand nhi
Baldev; acha..to phir cricketer model koi to pasand hoga
Veera; nahi
Baldev; acha main pasand hun
Veera; (in a reflex) jee..(oops what did she do)
Baldev smiled again.
Baldev; yani me aapko pasand hun,to phir itna ghabra kyun rahi hen aap, me kha thodi jaonga aapko, chaliye ab aap kuch poochiye na
Veera; aapki favoirte heroine konsi he?
Baldev; meri favorite to kareena kapoor he
Tina and Amrit came to help her.
Amrit; hi hone wale jeeja ji me hun Amrit aur ye he Tina hum Veera ki best friends hen
Baldev; hello jee, aapki awaz kahin suni hui lag rhi he
Veera's eyes opened wide
Amrit; acha, wo meri awaz boht common he na, bht logon ki awaz mujhse milti he
Tina; chodiya na jeeja ji, aap ye batayiye ke aap ko hamari dost kesi lagi
Baldev; bht ziada bholli he jee apki dost, inhe mere sath zindagi bitani he to thoda tez hona padega, wo kya he na aag ko bardasht krne k liye da to hona chahiye na
Amrit; don't worry jeeja ji, Veera abhi aapse frank nhi hui na tabhi esi he, thode dino me sb sahi hojayega.
Tina; jeeja ji ye bht pareshan he abhi, aapko jo poochna he wo humse pooch lijiye
Baldev raised one eye brow,
Baldev; nahi jee menu aap log se kuch nhi poochna
Amrit; to aapko akele me hi baat krni he Veera se, theek he hum chalte hen
Veera and Baldev walked and they came out of the house from the back door.
Veera went to sunny singh , her sheep
Veera; ye sunny singh he, mera dost
Baldev smiled.
Baldev; aapko bhed bakriyan pasand hen? mere paas bhi ek bakri he bht masum si
Suddenly they heard some noise a man was shouting
Man; hat jao hat jao
Veera's dupatta was half red and she saw a bull coming towards her in full speed. She was shocked and stunned.
Baldev; oh teri, ye to pagal hogya, Veeraaa
he pulled her close and pinned her to the wall, her dupatta was now hidden behind him, the bull didn't notice and went away. They stood very close, his arms around her, her hands on his chest. His cheek touched hers, the hair of his stubble gave her goosebumps and tickled her soft skin. she was breathing heavily. Baldev looked at her and they were again lost in each other's eyes.
There was another voice , this time of a woman. Baldev moved away from Veera.
Woman; bachao bachao mere bache ko koi bachao
Baldev saw the bull running towards a kid who sat on the cot, the woman screaming, Baldev ran towards the kid, Veera was unable to make out she followed from a distance. Baldev pulled a red cloth hanging on one of the strings outside a house and then jumping from a cart he landed infront of the cot and was now in between the bull and the kid,
Veera; (shouting) Baldevvv...ye aap kya kr rhe hen,
Baldev; Veera tu jaa yahan se, ye bht khatarnaq he tenu kuch hojayega
Veera; pr aap ko kuch hogya to please wapas ayi na
Baldev; veera tu jaaa
Baldev ran with the cloth in his hand, the bull followed him hungry to rip him apart, Veera's heart sank, she was unable to think, teras fell from her eyes. Baldev kept running and entered an empty go down, the bull entered as well, Veera ran towards the go down and peeked, Baldev moved carefully having an eye contact with the bull, and slowly moving by the sides of the wall he moved out of the godown and closed the doors, the doors were of iron, he threw the cloth inside and sighed in relief.
The woman came to Baldev.
woman; tera bht bht dhanyewaad beta, tune mere bete ki jaan bachai
Baldev; koi nhi chachiji ye to mera farz tha.
The man came running too.
Man; beta tune mere bail ko qaid kr k wada ehsan kiya wrna ye dusron ko bhi nuqsan pohnchata aur khud ko bhi
Baldev; haan chachaji pr ab iska dhyan rkhna kahin phir se pagal na hojaye
Baldev came to Veera who was still i shock.
Baldev; tujhe mana kiya na phir yahan kyun chali aayi?
veera; wo main..aap ko kya zarurat thi ese mout k mun me jaane ki aapko kuch hojata to?
Baldev; to? us bache ki jaan ko khatre me dekh pure pind ko museebat me dekh me khada rehta? phir to thu thi meri mardangi pe, main sher hun, sher bail se nhi darta, balke uska shiqar krta he. samjhi? ab chal..mera matlab chaliye, ghar pe sab ko esa na lage k me aap ko bhaga le gya
Baldev walked towards the house, Veera watched him with love as he went.
