| What happens when the stuff of your dreams presents herself in flesh and blood, live and animated. To check it out, how reel, as the cliche goes, turns into reality, pick up tomorrow's ET where Priyanka Chopra, the glamour queen of Bollywood, becomes the Editor of Business of Bollywood (BoB) on its first anniversary. PC, as we call her, and ET go back a long way. She shared stage space and wowed the other PC who features more on these pages in his capacity as the FM of the country at ET Awards 2004. P Chidambaram was charmed by her intelligence and infectious joie de vivre. Priyanka set apart bulk dates for this onerous task and worked very hard on the project. She interviewed the Badshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan, and did a copy on Karan with a one-on-one with Johar, the first Editor of BoB. She crunched numbers, thumbed through books and, of course, wielded the blue pencil and she did it all with great elan. We weren't surprised to see her excel in her new role; we, with The Power of Knowledge, always knew. But what surely surprised us was how PC didn't wait for any directions: she, with considerable ease and confidence, handed them out. Get set for tomorrow's blockbuster. |
