HI Guys

Here Is a new Interview with Mishal

Mishal Raheja, one-time telly heartthrob who won his share of fans first in the dark romance Love Story and then the crime saga, Laagi Tujhse Lagan quit television to chase his Bollywood dreams. Even as he waits for his big screen outing to hit the s theaters, Mishal's done episodics.

Excerpts from a chat:

Your exit from Laagi Tujhse Lagan had fans emailing and calling the channel, media and production houses to get you back on the show. What was your frame of mind then?

I think I left the show at the right time. The role was too aggressive and somewhere it was affecting me as a person. I couldn't handle so much of aggression around even in a character I was playing. Although, for once I did feel like going back to the show but at that point it didn't have anything to offer.

And you never took up any daily soap post that. Why so?

I don't watch much TV. I'm not keeping away from daily soaps but lack of performance oriented roles is what keeps me away from TV. I have been approached for so many shows, but, I really didn't find anything exciting. Also, taking up a lead role in a show means you'll have to dedicate your time and energy on it, so there has to something substantial for me to take up.

How do you find television content now?

The scenario is certainly improving. I enjoyed doing doing Encounter, Punar Vivah, Yeh Hai Aashiqui and Maaharakshak Aaryan. I also had a great time doing Nikhil Advani's tele film Shaadi Vaadi.

When you aren't acting what keeps you busy?

I've a business to look after " it keeps me occupied. I also enjoy watching movies, gymming, traveling and dancing.

By the way when did Mishal do Yeh Hai Aashiqui this is the first I am hearing this

Yeh Hai Aashiqui? What? When?

This doesn't make sense why journalists ask him the same set of questions about Laagi. People moved on long ago. Its been almost 4 years now.

Thanks for sharing the article.

No guys no!!!!!!!!!! This one is absolutely new to me; the 1st ques & see what MR is saying?????????? Now i m having this a totally new story. This is what????????? As a person he was not able to handle???????? What does he means????????? Sorry mish, I am not able to understand!!!!!!!!!! And for this reason only sometimes, I do feel that i am transported back in time of 4 years; march 2011.. From that time in evry single interview, mish have quoted many reasons but not this.

It was like; that character wasn't giving any thing or he wanted change or even he wanted to pursue Bollywood. Oh yes. One more; the contract period.

It was his stand after ltl on which he's still stable i.e., of doing quality shows only and rejecting less important roles. Recently on e24 he said= "I will accept a role only when it will be performance oriented". This is his permanent stand

To be honest, we all have respected mishal for portraying the role of dsp not only just because of his acting but also for his way of defining the persona of the character of dsp who was completely different from mr; like North Pole & South Pole. And now he is saying that he was not able to handle!!!!!!! Now this is what a new story????????? I have to say mishal sometimes confuse me, really. We all can only imagine that what an actor have to go through to perform to materialize an imagination. And for this reason only we all are die hard fans of mishal. But seriously, I cannot believe this that an actor like MISHAL ARHEJA is saying that character was intriguing to him and affecting him personally. And what he did ? he left because of this reason !!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry mish, but this u r well aware of the 1st day, that the character of dsp is having that much intensity & aggression. Isn't it a slap on trust of ur's loyal fans??????? I really would have understood if u have said like u have wanted a change & for that reason u quitted. Even in some interviews mr have said this thing and this was acceptable. But mishal one liner answer had always been that the character wasn't giving anything satisfying. And now he's saying that he even thought of coming back!!!!! It may be due to the fan's love. But the reason he's giving for quitting is totally not acceptable and when it do comes from an actor like THE MISHAL RAHEJA.
