Mona with one of her closest friends, Shraddha Outofthebox "My best friends are Shraddha from Nagpur and Gaurav Gera (Nandu). He is like my favorite saheli actually; woh sakhi type talks hoti hain na, woh Nandu aur mere beech hoti hain. "Shraddha and I have been friends for the last five years, since our (St Mira's, Pune) college days. We literally lived in each other's houses. She and I shared the same bench. Two years ago, she got married, and now she has a kid. "After I bagged Jassi, my friends automatically switched off. They thought that showbiz would affect me. I had to take the initiative of calling them to convince that I am still the same Mona. Acting for me is a 9-5 job (in my case, 9-9). "When my friends see me on television, they feel really proud of me." "We are very much in touch but we don't exchange secrets any more." Since my friends live in Nagpur, Pune and Delhi, I don't buy gifts for them, but I definitely buy them for my co-stars-cum-friends, like Nandu and Rakshanda. It could be a wallet, a key chain or a watch. I can shop till I drop dead. "Both Rakshanda and Nandu know that I have a fetish for shoes, perfumes and handbags. They know what I expect as a gift. "In the serial, my father calls me Queen Victoria, whereas in real life my dad calls me Chhotu. I feel quite embarrassed when he addresses me in a restaurant by this name." "Kids love the character of Jassi. I remember my three-month-old nephew ate only if the title song of Jassi was played for him. Since Jassi is not aired on Fridays, it would be difficult to feed him on a Friday. So my sister recorded the song on a CD! " "I thoroughly enjoyed doubling as Jassi because I felt like Superman. I had to evade the press and sport my 'Jassi' spectacles when I made my public appearances. I guess I am the first person who was living a character. My close friends and parents felt very important because they knew my identity." "I met Nandu for the first time at an audition in Lokhandwala. Tony (Singh) was taking our screen test. I thought Nandu was a big snob so I didn't say hi to him and he didn't either. Later, we had to do a scene where we both had to laugh aloud. I am not the kind of person who laughs aloud, especially with strangers. When we started rehearsing our scenes with each other, the ice thawed. He is so much like me. Though we have not shot together for the past two months, we talk to each other every day. I share all my secrets with Nandu. With him, I am like an open book." "I met Karan for the first time in Mauritius; he was playing himself. We would earlier greet each other with a plain 'Hi' but now we go, 'Oye aa gaya, phirse aa gaya.' We have become really good friends now." "Karan and I haven't been able to go out together because we are on the sets, 12 hours a day. We went out together for a Sony party after almost six months. People saw me dancing and dining with him and thought it interesting. They clicked our pictures together. Phew!" Gaurav, Mona's friend "I confide in Mona completely. I have no secrets from her because I can be myself with her. We are going to be friends for life. I want her to find happiness in her relationship." Karan, Mona's friend "Mona and I have a good on-screen chemistry — a fact reaffirmed by a lot of people. I think it essentially stems from the fact that we are very comfortable with each other and share a good rapport in real life. As far as the future of our relationship is concerned, we are taking each day as it comes." Mona's toughest shot "There was a heavy duty scene in episode eight. I was supposed to go out with some guys for a movie and my parents were aware that the guys were not going to honour their word. I was required to cry and deliver a long monologue. It was a beautifully written scene and very challenging for me because for the first time, I had to cry in front of a 200-strong unit. I was very conscious but it turned out to be a superb scene. I took as many as seven takes for that scene." If Mona were to write the climax of Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin… "I do not want the serial to go on and on. I hope it concludes with an interesting end; I want people to miss the show. I don't think Jassi should get back with Armaan because he is already married. If I were to write the climax, Armaan and Jassi would never meet again. It will be fabulous if Jassi remains single all her life." TV gyaan "When I had visited the Sony office, they showed me a tape of Yo Soy Betty, La Fea. I looked at the heroine and got a shock of my life. She looked scary to me! They told me, 'That's you (in the serial).' I was speechless. They literally kept me bound to my seat while Deeya got me the specs and the fringe et al. After 45 minutes, I looked at myself in the mirror and saw a splittng image of the Yo Soy Betty, La Fea heroine. I was too amused to react. Deeya and I would go out shopping for the character's specs. We would ask them to show the worst pair possible and the opticians at Four bungalows and Seven bungalows thought we had flipped. Then they tried the two plaits and the karelewali chotti and the big wig — just about everything. When I had my first audition with Nandu, Veeruji, Mama and Bebe, I was so embarrassed I couldn't walk out of the room. The channel (people) as well as Deeya and Tony hadn't prepared the other characters for my look. When I came out in the hall, their jaws fell open while I couldn't bring myself to raise my eyes. For the first three months, Sony put me up at Rodas Hotel, Powai. I had security guards, a car and a burkha because the press was on my case. After that, I shifted to Montreal, Andheri West. I would take different routes every night to reach home because people were following me. I wouldn't open my mouth at public places because my voice is a completely giveaway. Once I went to a shop in Lokhandwala and spoke to the sales person and everybody froze. I fled as soon as I could; it was bizarre. Queenie Dhody orchestrated the complete makeover. Seema Khan did my outfits; later Kimaya jumped in. Currently, my outfits are managed by Seasons. My current haircut is the handiwork of Monisha from Raih."

Lol!! My feelings exactly, but I still don't hate her...she's just thinking practically. In a real-life situation, if the love of your life got married to someone else, you wouldn't go and try to break his marriage, you'd just have to live with the heartache and move on...which is what she's saying.😉 But if that crap happens in this serial, with as many stupid, illogical, and heartwrenching twists as T_D_T have given us, then I'm sorry but someone's gonna get hurt!!😡

jassi and arman should never meet ???? did we waste 2years for this ridiculous twist that she is suggesting....one time she says that she objected to a-j not getting married and now another u turn saying a-j should never meet again 😡
well i wont be surprised if raghav and jassi tie the knot as the real neha has already given a hint towards that...... 😡 😡
but one thing mona considers karan as a friend like gaurav
as for karan...i dont know who have complimented their "onscreen chemistry" and reaffirmed .....i cant see even a ounce of chemistry and for that first they have to show them as a pair....is he dreaming ????

i have deciced to forgive jassi for running away..for the revenge she is going to be taking ...if she accepts armaan back.. 😳 cause i just realisedb if she doesnt amaan is going to remain devdas all his life.. 😭 🤢
