Kareena turns down Azharuddin biopic, leaving Ekta fuming

Kareena Kapoor and Ekta Kapoor might not be on talking terms even socially for months to come. Apparently, the Singham Returns actress has politely declined the biopic on former Indian skipper Mohammed Azharuddin's life, featuring Emraan Hashmi and Prachi Desai.

The story goes that Kareena's decision to not do the film hasn't gone down too well with producer Ekta Kapoor. According to Kareena's friends, her reason for refusal was her closeness to Salman and Sangeeta Bijlani. A friend of Bebo said, "She wasn't too keen on playing Sangeeta on screen because she is a friend."

Directed by Tony D'Souza, the film is set to go on floors in mid-2015.
