Ruhi - The character of the day.
I have been watching YHM for quite some time now, but never been actively involved in discussions till date. But after today's episode, I just felt like commenting on the character - Ruhi. I know that most of us forum waasi's and general public, love the cute little girl that is the biological daughter of Raman and Shagun but the true daughter of Ishita. Most of us attribute Ishita's upbringing for the well mannered girl that Ruhi is. But, this child, this 8 year old girl proved today that regardless of the love and commitment and parvarish that Ishita gave her,(not to belittle it), she would still have turned out to be amazing.
She can't be manipulated.
She analyzes a person clearly, without being encumbered by false emotions or relations.
She can handle any given situation with dignity. That doesnt mean that she is a pushover. In fact, she may not shout or create a ruckus, but she will put the other person in place if they dare to cross her.
Adi may be her biological brother and Shagun may be her mother, but she is Ishita and Ramans daughter.
Notice how Toshiji is blinded by her love for her grandson. (Ghar ka chirag, not) Even papaji (husband of toshiji), cant see his grandson for who he is. Raman will give in to anything that his son asks and therefore, is weak and liable. Ishita understands but wont say a word, for the love of Raman. Simmi and Ramans brother are generally useless characters. But Ruhi - she doesnt stand for all this brother bullshit. She respects her brother, the due respect that he deserves, for being her brother, but nothing more. She sees him clearly, his intentions of manipulating her dont go unnoticed. She doesnt recat first, then lashes out firmly telling him he doesnt see things clearly. Its shagun mamma who is bad, not her Ishima. And if he cant respect or understand that, he better leave. But she will not tolerate him calling bad names to her Ishima.
I felt in all this Shagun drama, Ruhi is the only one who has clearly put herself in Ishima's side. Rest all can be mnaipulated and blinded by their foolish love. She is the only one who realises that Adi requires a firm hand, a firm yes and no. Rest all mollycoddle him and make a bad situation even worse. In short, she is the only one in that household who is clear in her beliefs and knows how to handle Adi and Shagun.
I feel the handling of this complicated situation should be best left to her.
