Let me just clear everything up by saying I disagree with the current track entirely.
I do not believe in pre-marital sex but I am not going to condemn, demean, insult or hurt anyone who thinks or practises otherwise.

But I do know sex education is deemed necessary at this era but pre-marital sex is not so.

Call me old-fashioned, rigid, stupid or whatever but sex before marriage is not right. It never has been nor will it ever be.

Being an Indian, I understand modernism, liberal and equality but I hold on to our values, heritage and culture because there is nothing wrong in them and it definitely has righteousness in it too.

I do not think we need to become a full-fledged Westerner to become modern, liberal and open-minded. Just balance between your values and the norms of the era. Thats all!

Coming back to the show, Navya's situation is not something uncommon in today's era nor was it absent in the past.

If Navya was comfortable being intimate with Harshad, at least she should have protected herself properly. Its her choice to have sex and you cannot really hold her back there.

Here, the issue is not sex but the unplanned pregnancy. What about the child??

Seriously? Do you know how it affects a child to be raised by a single mother? Why doesn't the child deserve parents? A mother and a father? I am not saying that single parent situation is incomplete abusive or something but a child, no matter what, deserves both parents in his/her live. Stability, Love, Safety and Care. Important aspects needed for a child's development.

How could both Navya and Harshad subject an unborn child to something less than these aspects for his/her life?

Are Navya and Nandini even thinking about that? No.. They are thinking about having a poll asking other if other students have had sex or not. I get that they want to un-expel Navya but I mean, seriously?
Sex education is to be made publicly available but is your sex life supposed to made public? Isn't some parts of your life suppose to be yours only? Is sex really such a trivial part of people's lives?

The show's track has made sex and unplanned pregnancy a joke, if you ask me.

Also, I am not going to say Navya is bad or whatever, just because she had sex but that does not make pre-marital sex is something right, just because she has done it.

By doing this poll, this show is trying advocate and promote pre-marital sex..

I strictly object that!

I hope some of you, at least, side with me.

Thank you!

u cant really say that before the whole track plays out

all im saying is that before making any conclusions, i would let the track play out a little more...before making any opinions about it..

and if the show was actually supporting the issue of pre-marital sex, wouldnt manan have just gone ahead and done it...

i think the show is actually taking it in a proper and clean way

I side with you...in the point that pre-marital sex should not be encouraged...not at all...
It will destroy Lives...but then again ...its my own view point...I will not let it get in others way of life...
Cming to the show...Yes Even I do feel they are showing that Pre_marital Sex is not a big deal...I dont have any probs with that...because its Nandhu that the girls will idealize and they show her to be Responsible...hmmm either way...there shud be a balance...!!!!

Pre-marital sex is an individual CHOICE, not a LAW to be laid down...
What the show is trying to do is unique...to actually have a conversation about this topic without getting into preconceived notions of morality or right/wrong.

Sex education is not just limited to safety/precautions/teen pregnancies.

To have a broader conversation about this reflective of the ground realities is also needed...and it's a fact that most people today are doing it...so why be coy and hypocritical about it and pretend like speaking about it automatically makes you an "immoral" person?

I'm actually glad to see the show taking this approach and showing how teenagers today perceive this and behave on this topic...the more openly people talk about it, hopefully more MATURELY they can deal with it rather than acting out in confusions.

i understand what you are trying to say but in my eyes they are trying to take things slowly, a pregnant girl cant deal with her parents, thoughts about the baby and future problems and a fiasco in her professional and career life either all at same time
Nandini did say that a battle should be worn by small steps taken every day
and that's the first step for Navya not to be expelled for one mistake she did, otherwise if she was really expelled her whole life would definitely be a disaster and all😊
already being an unwed mother is difficult, but if you dont even have the means survive in this world then things become even more difficult
it's a start and i'm sure after this the real track of an unwed mother would be tackled soon

I don't understand this Indian, cultural , westerner argument.
You don't like or agree with pre-marital sex , good for you.

But how does anyone indulging in sex affect a community or degrade a culture.

Have you see the paintings in Ujjain temple or Ajanta and Ellora caves, heard about Kamastura. Or even the Upanishads?

Being Indian has nothing to do with sex . That is sex education.

The show is not supporting or encouraging it , Nandini said- it's a choice and that is all which it should be.

Safe sex is being promoted because Navya like situation happens and it shouldn't because they are not ready to support life.

I am sure Nandini and Navya will talk about their next step regarding the kid.

I see your point.. but, I would rather say that it is an individual's choice.. but, in today's era, it has become something cool, a way of life.. because the society keeps mum on such sensitive issues, people think what they like to think.. teenagers' minds are very sensitive, easy to mould.. talking about what is right, wrong, how their personal choices would affect them would make people think about it and responsible about their actions.. simply saying that culture does not allow it does not make any sense now.. because our culture also has many of those things that need to be banished now (For example, dowry).
The only thing needed is to talk about it, not to shy away from it
