ya thats wot i was wondering, non of this was confirmed by jkr, but i gess it wudda bin a gud theory b4 the last book but as it wasnt mentioned at all, not even a hint then it probably isnt true and anyway dudley never showed any signs of magic in young age and nor could he see dementors. and there is no way dumbledore could 'turn off' his powers. dudley himself cud refuse to use them but if he cannot see dementors that confirms that he is not and never was a wizard...lolx 😛

ok, seriously the damage inflicted upon dudley is his obesity.
It was a joke.

LoL, man don't look into it too much, and anyhow, JKR herself has said that none of the Dursleys have wizarding powers. And noone can take powers away from you either.

Nahiiii....

No way...Dudlerrs certainly is not a wizard, or why else is it never mentioned in the SEIRIS? It's a very important fact, if he was, I must say, and JK would not certainly leave it out.

And as for the lines where Dumbledore says "the best that can be said is that he has at least escape appalling damageyou have inflicted upon the unfortunate boy sitting between you." it means that the Dursley's have spoiled Dudley to such an extreme that he can never lead a good life. AD means that Harry has escaped from such a fate, which would have been impossible if he had been handed over to a wizarding family and been left to grow up in idoltary as "The Boy Who Lived".
