"What consequenses? When I'm pretty sure you can't do it."
"Don't under estimate the power of a rockstar Chashmish. Atleast first tell me. There is noting in this world which I, Abhi the rockstar can't do."
"Oh really?"
"Yes. Now tell me what I have to do?"
"I'm telling you na. You won't be ab.."
"Chashmish, don't test my patience now. No one is there in the house, everyone has gone to Akash's marriage. So, we are alone in the house now. So if you don't te..."
"Okay.. Okay.. Take a chill pill rockstar. It is very simple. You have to cook."
"I have to WHAT?"
"I knew it. I knew it." said Pragya almost jumping making Abhi more irritated.
"Shut Up Chashmish. I did'nt say that I can't do it. But Cook? Seriously Chashmish, Cook?"
"Yes. Why? Can't a rockstar Cook?"
"Think once again Chashmish. You are challenging a rockstar now?"
"I know. I am still challenging you to cook."
"Fine then."
"Suniye. Can you prepare the dish Chana Masala? I just love it."
"You... Okay Fine."
"Okay. Thank You. I'm going out to watch the remaining movie. Till then you can prepare the dish okay. All The Best." said Pragya smiling and left.
"Arrey. I accepted Chashmish's challenge but how am I going to prepare this dish? I don't even know the recipie of making Chana Masala." said Abhi to himself walking to and fro.
"Yes. Nothing is impossible when there is internet. Abhi you're a genius." exclaimed Abhi after thinking for a long time.
He took his phone and googled Chana Masala recipie. "Yes got it." jumped Abhi happily. "Now Chashmish I'll tell you nothing is impossible for me."
"Okay. So first we have to soak the peas overnight. What how am I going to soa... Oh there, there are the soaked peas in the tin. Here I take them. And..." He takes the chana & puts it in the cooker, adds water and puts salt. He follows the step one by one.
He then takes the prepared Chana Masala and puts it in a bowl just when Pragya enters.
"Is my Chana Masala ready? I knew it. You would'nt be ab..." stopped Pragya seeing the dish. "You... Prepared.. Chana.."
"Then what did you think Chashmish? I won't be able to prepare this?" said Abhi and lastley garnished it with corriander leaves.
"Here, Abhi's Chana Masala is ready." said Abhi.
Suddenly Pragya started laughing.
"Arrey, why are you laughing? See I prepared the dish you asked me to prepare then.."
"You prepared the dish but look at youself and around you" said Pragya and started laughing again.
"What happ.." Abhi looked around and realized that preparing Chana Masala he had created such a mess in the kitchen. His cheeks had the gravy and there were chana's and some corriander leaves on his hair.
"By the way. The aroma of the dish is very nice. I just hope that the dish too is delicious." said Pragya pretending to be serious.
"Here Chashmish, you can taste it." said Abhi handing Pragya a spoon and the dish.
"Thank You." said Pragya taking it.
Pragya took a spoon of the Chana and was about to have it when she saw Abhi tightly close his eyes and keep his fingers crossed. She smiled to her self and ate the spoon of Chana. It was a bit spicy and the amount of salt he put was too high and the proportion of the masalas was up and down but it did'nt matter to Pragya.
"Hmm. Very tasty. I did'nt know that you knew how to cook." said Pragya taking the bowl in her hand and eating her mouthful. Abhi opened his eyes and was happy that the dish was nice. Then he started teasing Pragya again.
"See I told you right nothing is impossible for Abhi the rockstar. That too, you yourself admitted it." said Abhi crossing his arms.
"I should'nt have underestimatted the power of a rockstar. I'm sorry."
"Are you really?"
"Yes I am." said Pragya taking another spoon mouthful.
"Okay, then give me little. I prepared the dish. So even I have to get a chance to taste it right?"
"Yes but it is so delicious that I am not going to give it to anyone." said Pragya and taking the bowl a bit away from him.
"That is not fair. I prepared it and I have the right to taste it."
"No, I'm not giving it to you." said Pragya and took the last spoon, kept the bowl on the table and ran away from the kitchen.
"Chashmish, this is not fair. How can you eat my share also." said Abhi & ran behind her.
The next day,
Pragya got up & was sitting on the sofa, when she suddenly had a feeling to puke. She ran to the washroom and was trying to open the door but Abhi was inside having a shower.
"Suniye, Please open the door. Fast."
"Chashmish, what the heck is wrong with you? Why should I come out?" yelled Abhi from inside.
"Please. Come out fast. Mujhe ulti karne jaise feeling ho rahi hai. Please jaldi bahar aa jaiye." said Praga now holding her hand on her mouth as if trying to control her vomit.
"WHAT? WAIT.. I'm coming.." shouted Abhi.
He opend the door and came out. A towel wrapped around his hip, and was clearly wet. But Pragya just pushed Abhi and went inside. Meanwhile Abhi was standing outside the washroom totally confused. After a while Pragya came out wiping her face with the end of her dupatta and rested her hand against the wall for support.
"Arrey, What happened Chashmish? Are you okay?" asked Abhi.
"Ab.. Nothing. I was just.." Pragya could'nt complete her sentence as she ram again to the washroom to puke.
Abhi was again totally confused. When Pragya came out she looked very tired. So Abhi made her sit on the bed and went to get some water for her.
He gave Pragya a glass of water and asked her again: "Chashmish. Are you okay?"
"Yes."
"But.."
"I'm just exhausted."
"Are you sure you're okay because if you're not I'll call the doctor and even I have to go to meet a producer. So, if you're not.."
"No, No. I'm totally fine. You please go to meet the producer."
"Fine."
He was about to leave the room when Pragya called:
"Arre Suniye. Aap aise hi jayenge kya?"
"Oh.." Abhi looked at himself and realized that he was only in a towel.
They both looked at each other for some time and suddenly bursted out laughing.
Abhi then went to the washroom to have his shower and then left to meet some producer.
In the evening when Abhi arrived he saw Pragya in hall taking the support of the sofa and trying to stand. He went near her and took her to the room.
"Chashmish. I asked you right? Whether you were okay or not?
"Ahh"
"Chashmish, what happened? Are you okay?"
"Actu.. Ahh my stomach is paining a lot." said Pragya and held the stomach.
The pain was clearly visible on her face.
"Wait.. I'll get you hot water." said Abhi and got hot water.
"Here. Drink it."
Pragya drank it but the pain was not decreasing at all. Abhi finally decided to call the doctor. The doctor arrived after some timeand checked Pragya.
"I think Mr.Mehra she has food poisoning. That's why there is stomach pain, weakness and vomitting."
"So.."
"I'm giving some medicines give her 3 times a day untill the weakness is less. But if there is more pain or anything, just call me again." said the doctor and left.
"Chashmish, did you eat and unhygenic or any roadside food?"
"Arrey, I've not gone out from the day before yesterday."
"Then what did you eat? Yesterday you ate normal lunch, then in the evening you ate chana mas.." Abhi looked at Pragya.. " Chashmish. Are you sure the chana dish was nice?"
"Tha.. Yes. It was.." Pragya could not lie now as Abhi was now directley looking at her.
"Actually, It was verry nice but the salt was a bit high and the masalaa was.."
"That's why you did'nt let me eat it."
Pragya just looked at Abhi. "Those recipies in the internet are all fake. I'm so sorry Chashmish. In future never ever check for recipies in the net. I'm telling you Chashmish. They tell all wrong amount masala. I'm so sorry."
Pragya could'nt say anything but just smile.
"But it's not my fault. I had already warned you Chashmish that you'll have to face the consequences of challenging a rockstar. And here you are facing the consequences."
"Ya right.."
And they both laughed..
