Well, the current plot of the show doesn't from any angle resemble 16th century.

I mean everything was so royal. Never would a prince kidnap the bride in a wedding.

It seems like 20th century lovestory. A friend helping his buddy by kidnapping his bride in her wedding.

Plus, the Anar and Salim story is also this age's lovestory where girl/boy mistaken someone as someone else and fall in love. E.g, Jamai Raja has a quite simialiar story.

This is just mockery to Mughal History🤢

I was just thinking about this earlier, and i realised that even the basic customs like purdah are not followed. Men and women were not allowed to mingle freely like Salim and Anarkali are being shown...

God knows yeh show ka kya hoga😆

Also how can any random girl can walk up to Saleem and tell him as to how dare he ask her to come to his room. There was never any hatred phase in case of SA as per the movies earlier made on these two - MEA and Anarkali.(Anarkali had Bina Rai in the title role and Pradeep Kumar as Salim).
