Nirmal tells Ganapathy and Dhanraj not to create new stories just to keep Rukku in their house. Dhanraj tells Nirmal he can prove it and wants Nirmal to follow them to the hospital where he was born. The Dr. who delivered him would tell the truth. Nirmal follows saying is their story is a lie they would suffer.
They go to the hospiral and is told that Dr. Vimala who delivered Kalyani's baby had an accident about 5 years ago and had lost her memory and her son had taken her bac and they don't know where she is now. Dhanraj tells the new doctor there to help them find the whereabouts of Dr. Vimala and to inform them as it is an important matter. The doctor tells them he will try and they take leave. Nirmla tells them enough of their story and storms off. Dhanraj tells Ganapathy not to worry because he will make sure everything is alright.
Jeeva brings tea for Kalyani and paces the floor. Kalyani asks her if she had called Nirmal on his cell. Jeeva says the phone is switched off and he had already let the office with someone. Srithar and Suja too tell her not to worry and Suja's father tells them maybe he is having a party with his friends. Kalyani tells them Nirmal is not like that and then Nirmal enters. Kalyani asks him why he is late and where he went. After much hesitation Nirmal relates the story. After hearing the story, Kalyani gets angry and asks if Nirmal believed them and went to check. Nirmal tells her that he went to prove them wrong. Kalyani tells them that she will not give up her children to Rukku like she did her husband. Srithar, Nirmal and Jeeva tell Kalyani not to worry as they are not ready to believe anything Rukku or Ganapathy tell them. After they leave, Suja and her father talk about the twists and turns in the story and father tells daughter that there would not be smoke without fire and to just observe.
Dhanraj is waiting for someone. Saro and Paati come and some sentimental dialogs between mother and son. Paati asks where Alamelu is and Dhanraj tells her that Rukku is still fighting for her rights and mother tells she will pray for her daughter and tells Dhanraj to bring her the next time they meet. A car comes and stops at a distance and Saro sees Ramaiah in the car and informs Dhanraj. Dhanraj goes to Ramaiah and tells him to go report to Ethiraj and tell him that his days are numbered and Ramaiah leaves. Both mother and son say good bye.
Ethiraj is talking to someone about the temple building and Ramaiah comes there and tells Ethiraj about Saro taking paati to meet Dhanraj. Ethiraj gets angry and they get into the car and drive off to find Dhanraj. THODARUM.
